[The] young brewing company faced another hurdle in the latter half of 2008 in the form of a trademark violation notice: the Wildfire Restaurant chain… advised the brewery of its trademarked name and suggested that it change the name within six months or face a court battle.
2009 Opened distribution in Portland, Oregon.
That began to change when 10 Barrel’s beer was picked up by a distributor that brought its beers to Portland in mid-2009.
2010 Opened brewpub in Bend, Oregon.
In January 2011, 10 Barrel hired Jimmy Seifrit, the brewmaster of the largest brewery in Bend and the largest independent brewery in the state — Deschutes Brewery.
Since 2012 Paxton has been working with Tonya Cornett on a port barrel aged Belgian quad that will tip the ABV scales at almost 16%! When will the Paxton Project be revealed? I’m not sure, but you can bet your ass I’ll be first in line to get my hands on some.
In early 2013, 10 Barrel expanded further, opening a pub in Boise, Idaho.
In March 2015, Bend-based 10 Barrel opened a brewpub in Portland.
Since Anheuser-Busch took over, 10 Barrel has increased the production in its main facility in Bend, and will be adding two new locations to it’s brewing fleet later in 2016.
10 Barrel has three breweries with two more on tap in 2016 Just to be clear – 10 Barrel is not just one brewery.
2016 opened Denver brew pub.
2017 opened pub in San Diego and a second in Bend, expanded offices.
Most recently, 10 Barrel earned 2 golds and 5 silvers at the 2020 Oregon Beer Awards.
