Qualifications:
Experience: One (1) years of relevant experience (with 3 applicable registries) OR Five (5) years relevant experience and 2 applicable registries.
Required Education: Graduate of a school of sonography or registered technologist.
Certifications:
2 applicable registries with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) OR The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within the work area (with five {5} years' experience).- 3 applicable registries with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) OR The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within the work area. (with one {1} year's experience).
Must achieve OB/GYN registry within 6 months of hire regardless of other registries held at time of hire, if applicable within the work area.

Responsibilities
Phlebotomist - Vascular Access Tech obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods (capillary, venous, assisted line and arterial collections) and standard safety equipment from all age groups with strict adherence to regulatory requirements and collection procedures. Works at the Mayo Clinic Hospital alternating between the two hospital campuses (Rochester Methodist Campus - RMC and St. Mary's Campus - SMC) in the general patient care areas, pediatrics, the Emergency Department, the Intensive Care Units and the Operating Rooms. Responsible for accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, handling and transportation as well as accurate specimen testing using Point of Care (POC) equipment. Able to work with a variety of computer programs/systems. Must maintain patient confidentiality. Utilizes good customer relations and communication skills in performing phlebotomy, answering the phone and interacting with patients, nurses, providers and others health care professionals to ensure high customer satisfaction. Demonstrates a positive and professional demeanor. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Must possess skills in working in a fast pace environment, coping, understanding, following written and verbal instruction, organization, prioritization, attention to detail, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making. Must be able to push a cart and walk distances. Assists with training students and new employees. Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required. A graduate of a phlebotomy training program that provides a clinical rotation OR 3 months of phlebotomy work experience is required. Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this role before being eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic. National Phlebotomy certification (e.g. NHA, ASCP) must be obtained within 14 months of hire date.

As the only Maternal-Fetal specialists in the region associated with an academic medical center, our specialists bring their own expertise as well as collaboration with neonatologists, geneticists and other University of Minnesota Health specialists to deliver the highest level of care from preconception to post-partum.
**This is a .6 FTE (48 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work on the day shift, Monday through Friday. You will be working at the following locations: Minneapolis, Edina, Burnsville, Maplewood and Brooklyn Park, MN.**
The Perinatal Sonographer in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Service is responsible for providing an advanced level of sonography services for the woman experiencing a high-risk pregnancy and her unborn baby. The Perinatal Sonographer works under the direction of a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist (physician) through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the Maternal/Fetal Diagnosis/Concern and the gestational age of the pregnancy. Treats all patients in an age and culturally sensitive manner. Responsible for meeting the established practice standards for patient care and Perinatal Imaging as defined by AIUM and by the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Standards of Care for this high-risk population. Responsible for supplies and equipment. Responsible for coordinating teamwork with all members of the interdisciplinary health care team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Performs Perinatal Ultrasound procedures and protocols.
+ Performs examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner.
+ Identifies anatomical orientation on all related images.
+ Understands structure visualized and its significance.

+ Identifies correct template when generating report.
+ Provides care, education, and support for patients during pregnancy terminations.
