_What a Manufacturing Management contributes to Cardinal Health_
Manufacturing Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Manufacturing function\.
**Accountabilities:**
+ Supervision of hourly employees performing sort/receipt of core product and manufacturing to include but not limited to: continuing development and recognition, motivating, setting expectations, assessing performance and productivity \(performance appraisals\), organizing and assigning work, time keeping, and providing instruction and guidance in work performance\.
+ Interview and assist in selection of hourly manufacturing employees\. Identify and complete requisitions as needed to fill open positions\.
+ Training and development of hourly manufacturing employee; including but not limited to on the job training, safe work habits and good housekeeping\.
+ Address employee complaints and resolve problems\.
+ Coordinate the operation among the various departments in the effective utilization of skills, labor hours and materials to assure on time production and quality standard adherence\.
+ Anticipate production problems \(i\.e\. material outages, equipment malfunctions\), and where feasible, develop and implement preventive action to offset loss of production and/or poor quality production\.
+ Ensure the completion of all paperwork pertaining to Work\-In\-Process and finished product in accordance with established manufacturing guidelines and procedures\.
+ Analyze the production effectiveness of assigned operations, equipment, and staff\.
+ Assist in the planning and directing of periodic inventory within the department\.
+ Drive continuous improvement in product cost and manufacturing processes; including identification of cost savings initiatives and leading cost reduction projects\.
_Qualifications_
+ High School Diploma or GED preferred
+ A minimum of 2\+ years related work experience preferred
+ Demonstrated success in managing people and leading a team
+ Strong communication skills
