Design complex sub-assemblies and product modules with general direction of design intent per Client's and industry's standards
Explore the impact that proposed designs will have on other subsystems, parts and assemblies
Provide support for prototype & pilot builds and occasional job support for customer orders.
Provide dedicated support to the assigned NPI program Team(s) including members from multiple functions such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Project management, core technologies, lab, Field issues and Warranty Services etc
Estimates scope of work and efforts for given assignments.

Tri-Point (SITECH Northeast affiliate/subsidiary) is seeking a 3D Civil Modeler/Designer to join our dedicated team. We are looking for someone with a passion for the construction industry, and knowledge of the GPS and total station technologies being used on today's jobsites.
Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annual
This is a primarily remote position, with occasional travel to job sites in the market. In this role, you will be utilizing the latest software to produce 3D surface models for GPS machine control and construction layout equipment. Our modelers bridge the gap between design and construction to provide our clients the data they need to get the best productivity out of their technology.
Since 2007, Tri-Point has been providing data prep and construction layout services for the heavy civil construction industry. We provide clients of all sizes with the 3D models for their GPS machine control and onsite construction layout.
Note: We are recruiting for 2 open positions that could be based anywhere within our New England territory. We have advertised this position in multiple cities within our territory.
Responsibilities
Tri-Point field crews work with the client to obtain site data needed for constructing the three dimensional surface model. Modelers have direct interaction with clients as needed. The Modeler reviews client-provided CAD files and plans to ensure all necessary data is available and communicates any omissions. Modelers develop layout maps and 3D surface models to meet the client's requirements. Most projects are fasted paced and will need to be turned around in about 1-2 weeks, and modelers will be working on concurrent project assignments during peak times.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction or Civil Engineering desired, or equivalent heavy civil work or surveyor experience
• Ideal candidates will have 4-10 years experience building 3D surfaces with Trimble Business Center, Carlson Civil, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads, or Terramodel
• Experience with Trimble, Topcon, Leica machine control and construction layout equipment a strong plus
• Knowledge of and ability to read construction plans
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines in a remote work environment

Have a working knowledge of CAD standards, Civil 3D label styles, sheet set manager and drawing setup
Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements
Have a working understanding of alignments, profiles, surfaces and pipe networks.
Complete construction plan sets by compiling all plan, profile, note and detail sheets to present a comprehensive design
Job Requirements
Technical degree or certification in CAD software and relevant AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
3+ years of experience in Civil Engineering including preparation of site plans for commercial and/or residential projects
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing multi-step tasks
Experience working with engineers and senior designers on land development projects
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work in a fast paced environment dedicated to meeting deadlines

Chen Moore and Associates is hiring a Senior Civil 3D Designer to work on municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize workload, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic, strong sense of urgency, project responsibility, initiative, work independently and as part of a team.
CMA is open to remote work opportunities for candidates meeting the requirements and experience for this position.
Responsibilities include:
Design and plan preparation of public works underground utilities projects, watermains, gravity sewer forcemains and stormwater culverts.
Work closely with the engineer utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D to create construction documents for all aspects of civil engineering with a focus on water, sewer, and drainage systems, as well as roadway, paving and grading designs.
Plan set up, implementation, and design conforming to appropriate CAD standards and procedures using best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
10+ years of AutoCAD & Civil 3D experience.
10+ years of design experience on civil engineering projects which include water and sewer pipelines, and/or stormwater systems.
Experience with other design applications, such as GIS, is a plus.
Outstanding organizational skills
Strong sense of urgency, project responsibility and initiative
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
