Employee discount and a fun work crew as is the case in most retail jobs
As a former CSM> The number of cons at 5.11 is numerous, but I will be brief. They are not serious in the wellbeing of their employees. Most living well below the poverty level in their service areas. Inventory management and Logisitics is a complete mess and costly, with some stores sitting on inventory for a year or more and still not moving. Lazy and apathetic corporate leadership. District managers hiring "friends" from their diet surplus store days, instead of hiring the best candidate, Stores being surrounded by homeless, drugs, crime etc.
Discount
They should be made to apologize to the company and then all be fired.
Promote stores and as well as all promotions being done from within the company. Offer living wages based on the area the employee lives in i.e. being able to afford a mortgage, car payments food, and health. Allow stores to control their own inventory
A detailed resume and precise deliberate verbal communication
Sadly, compared to other sales positions I have managed and worked, 5.11 employees will never be able to live on their wages alone, unless they have some sort of supplemental income. This could include roommates, government assistance, second job or a working spouse. This includes employees at the store manager level as well
5.11 does a good job of hiring people of all races, abilities and sexes. regardless if they are qualified or not.
It's a job for now
