5280 High School is seeking a dedicated and dependable School Bus Driver to safely transport our students to and from school, extracurricular activities, field trips, and special events. Reporting to the Transportation Coordinator and following guidelines set by the School Board and administration, the ideal candidate upholds high standards of safety, professionalism, and positive rapport with students and staff alike.
Job requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid Colorado driver's license with a CDL license with P and S endorsement.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must pass a physical as required to meet current rules
Must have or be able to obtain a current first aid card
Must have a satisfactory driving record
Must be versatile to the varying demands of the needs with 5280 High School
Must be able to read and comprehend the “Rules and Regulations Governing the Operation of School Transportation Vehicles.”
Must be able to deal with students, employees, and citizens of the community in a friendly and tactful manner
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Various check procedures will be developed and followed as needed to assure that the district complies with state regulations governing school transportation.
Any such procedures will outline a general routine to be followed and will provide a framework within which all designated personnel can function efficiently in the performance of their duties.
Obey all traffic laws.
Observe all mandatory safety regulations for school vehicles.
Maintain discipline of all students on bus.
Keep assigned bus clean.
Keep to assigned schedule.
Become familiar with and observe the “Rules and Regulations Governing the Operation of School Transportation Vehicles”.
Conduct Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections as prescribed.
Report mechanical failures, etc. as prescribed.
Conduct emergency evacuation drills as prescribed.
Keep a daily mileage record as prescribed.
Complete any other such forms as prescribed.
Assume and perform the duties of school bus driver as directed by 5280 High School Board Policy and Procedures as well as 5280 High School administration.
Reports to the Transportation Coordinator.
Follow all rules and regulations as stated in the 5280 High School Employee Handbook.
5-6 hours per day, (25-30 hours per week) 180 days/year

The Role
