The classes also serve to empower students to make positive and long-lasting social change within their community in coordination with CASA's organizing and advocacy efforts in the fight for immigration reform, workers' rights, universal equality, and social justice. POSITION SUMMARY: The Life Skills ESOL Program facilitates evening classes at CASA's Woodbridge Center located at 2359 Research Ct, Woodbridge, VA 22192. The employment period for this position covers TWO eight-week sessions: Winter 2025 from 2/10/25 to 4/3/25 AND Spring 2025 from 4/21/24 to 6/12/25. This position is part-time, temporary with the potential for renewal at the end of the Spring 2025 session. Evening hours are: Monday to Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Friday make-up classes will be held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm as needed.The pay is $27 per hour with an average of 8 hours worked per week. Teachers will also receive a $900 stipend at the end of the session if they have adhered to all administrative policy and deadlines including but not limited to the following: weekly lesson plan and daily attendance submission, and proctoring and grading of bi-weekly standardized assessments.
