The ProductionManager - Eyewear Manufacturing is responsible for leading day-to-day operations within Chrome Hearts' precision eyewear manufacturing division, managing a team across press operations, finishing, polishing, complex assembly, and quality control. This role combines leadership and direct, hands-on production work to maintain flow, deepen process expertise, and ensure repeatable, high-quality output. The manager develops and enforces timing standards, oversees hiring and training, maintains production schedules, and partners closely with engineering and CAD teams to transition designs, tooling, and advanced manufacturing methods into serial production. Additional responsibilities include first-article qualifications, in-process quality control, material yield improvement, MRB activities, safety oversight, and support of prototype builds, repairs, and special projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of up to 15 employees (currently 11) across press operations, industrial finishing, polishing, complex assembly, and quality control.
Oversee hiring, performance management, training, and disciplinary actions.
Work alongside the team operating manual machines and hand processes and as needed to maintain production flow and deepen process expertise (true working manager role).
Optimize material flow and resource utilization through all production stages.
Develop, document, and enforce accurate timing standards; monitor and improve team adherence.
Generate and maintain detailed production schedules.
Collaborate closely with engineering and CAD teams to transition designs and tooling packages into repeatable serial production.
Perform first-article qualifications, validate new tooling/processes, and train staff on new equipment and methods.
Set and enforce in-process quality standards, lead material review board (MRB) activities, and drive root-cause resolution to maximize material yield.
Partner with in-house machine shop to achieve precise geometric fits and tolerances in complex assemblies.
Operate and maintain production data systems, advance tracking, reporting, and capacity forecasting capabilities.
Support prototype builds, customer returns/repairs, and special projects outside standard eyewear production.
Assist engineering in developing and implementing advanced manufacturing methods, tooling, and machinery.

QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of direct supervisory experience managing 8+ employees in a labor-intensive, precision manufacturing environment.
Proven hands-on expertise in machine setup, tooling qualification, first-article inspection, and sustaining consistent output.
Demonstrated ability to train and develop technicians on complex processes, tooling, and materials.

Responsibilities
Understand organizational objectives and make decisions in partnership with the Store Manager(s) and Assistant Store Manager(s) that align with Company priorities and values.
Endorse, model and develop the team to deliver Coach's Selling and Service expectations.
Enforce sales strategies, initiatives and growth across all categories.
Work with Store Manager(s) and/or Assistant Store Manager(s) to flex store business strategies and personal selling techniques to contribute to overall store and financial results.
Leverage floor supervisor assignment responsibilities to deliver strong metrics; remain results driven, including through team selling and selling to multiple customers.
Hold sales team accountable for personal sales.
Maximize clienteling strategy in partnership with the Store Manager(s) and Assistant Store Manager(s); monitor process over time to achieve business goals and objectives.
Build credibility and trust with team, as well as customers - serving as a personal fashion advisor to deliver business results.
Act as a brand ambassador in the local market/mall to drive brand loyalty and business (i.e. charity events, local associations, mall initiatives).
Develop both self and individual product knowledge skills and remain aware of current collections.
Coaches, develops and motivates the team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to meet goals and utilize Company tools; delegates and empowers others and encourages individual growth.
Regularly provide feedback to others; coach performance to a higher standard; provide constructive feedback to Store Manager(s) and Assistant Store Manager(s).
Manage daily operational tasks according to Coach standards, switching gears based on the needs of the business both seamlessly and pro‑actively.
Demonstrate strong business acumen.
Interact and communicate with supervisor(s) on a regular basis; be adaptable and flexible; maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
Maintain interior and exterior upkeep of the building with partnership from the corporate office.
Use all retail systems and reporting tools to make informed decisions, taking appropriate partners as necessary.
Adhere to all applicable Coach retail policies and procedures including POS and Operations procedures.
Leverage Coach's tools and technology to support relationship building and clienteling efforts, including driving sales and achieving individual and team goals.

Qualifications
Experience: 1‑3 years of retail experience (cashier/stock/sales) preferably in a luxury retail service environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Technical: Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (including iPad/laptop, mobile POS and internet), walkie‑talkie, price and product release sheets.
Physical: Ability to execute at a fast pace; lift up to 25 lbs and sometimes up to 50 lbs; climb, bend, kneel and maneuver the sales floor.
Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and high‑traffic retail days.

Position Summary
The ProductionManager (Hands-On / Shop Floor Role) reports directly to the SpeedPro Imaging studio owner and is a production-focused position, not a marketing or graphic design role. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in large-format print production, prepress, and operating production equipment.
This position is critical to the studio's profitability and success through fast turnaround times, high-quality output, and efficient use of materials to minimize waste. Applicants without large-format print production experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Ability to Commute:
Must be able to reliably commute to the SpeedPro Greater San Diego studio
Lead the printing and production of client orders from start to finish
Inspect customer files, provide digital proofs, and prepare graphics for production
Operate and maintain production equipment, including:
Large-format printers
CNC router cutter
Laminators
Graphtec cutters
Perform cutting, masking, and taping of printed and non-printed vinyl
Manage and oversee finishing processes for signage and graphics
Conduct inventory tracking and provide material requirements for procurement*
*The team can assist with ordering materials once a list is provided
Provide graphic design support when required (unless outsourced)
Complete smaller graphic installations as needed
Unload and unpack deliveries to the studio
Perform vehicle inspections, measurements, and site surveys
Pack, label, ship completed jobs, and make local deliveries
Utilize CoreBridge software for estimates and quotes
Qualifications & Skills
Proven hands-on experience in large-format print production (required)
Strong prepress experience using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop (file setup, bleed, scaling, color, print readiness)
Ability to independently operate production equipment, including large-format printers, laminators, CNC router cutters, and Graphtec cutters
Solid knowledge of materials used in the sign and graphics industry (vinyls, substrates, laminates, adhesives)
Understanding of shop safety procedures, protocols, and best practices
Ability to manage multiple production jobs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Clear communication skills and ability to work closely with the studio owner and production team
This role is not suited for candidates with backgrounds limited to marketing, branding, or digital-only graphic design.
Ideal Candidates Will Also Possess
2+ years of experience designing or working with vehicle graphics and templates
Hands-on experience with graphic and signage finishing techniques
