You will work with the Grounds Crew in the safe operations of general tree care. A Plus Tree specializes in the planting, removal, pruning (trimming), and health of trees in urban areas. The ideal candidate should be able to perform both General Tree Care (GTC) and Tree Health Care (THC) functions. Responsibilities: Carries out all maintenance duties allocated by the Foreman. Watches for pedestrians. Sets up cones for traffic safety and drop zones for climber/bucket operators. Spots drivers as they back up vehicles and equipment. Poles, prunes, rigs down material for climbers, and keep rig and climb lines clear of brush. Loads and chain down equipment on trailers. Chips material, rakes, and blows leaves. Understanding and carrying out verbal and written instructions. Assisting with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposal. Learning techniques and the proper use of tools from senior or more experienced crew members. Fueling and warming up saws and equipment. Ensures all work sites are kept clean and free of hazards. Inspects equipment and tools and performs repairs and maintenance when required. Uses the appropriate gear and observing safety protocols. Reports any issues or safety hazards to the Foreman or other relevant parties. Participates in JSA safety meetings. Adheres to company and environmental regulations. Follows safety guidelines.
