Job Summary
The Resource Development Specialist is responsible for spearheading initiatives to identify, develop, and secure resources necessary for the expansion and sustainability of STE(A) M Truck programs. This role involves strategic planning, grant writing, donor management, and collaboration with the marketing and communications teams to enhance fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Development
Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies and campaigns.
Identify and apply for grants, including writing proposals and managing submissions.
Cultivate relationships with new and existing donors and sponsors.
Organize and coordinate fundraising events and initiatives.
Donor Engagement and Stewardship
Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, ensuring regular communication and engagement.
Develop materials to communicate the impact of donations, including reports, newsletters, and presentations.
Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials and content that highlight the benefits of supporting STE(A) M Truck.
Partnership Development
Identify potential partners and collaborators that align with STE(A) M Truck's mission.
Foster relationships with corporate sponsors, community organizations, and educational institutions.
Coordinate with the Programs team to ensure partnership activities align with programmatic needs and goals.
Reporting and Analytics
Track and report on fundraising progress using donor databases and CRM tools.
Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and strategies.
Provide regular updates to the Executive Director and Board of Directors on resource development activities and outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, grants management, or resource development.
Proven track record of successfully securing funding through grants and donor relationships.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with donor databases and CRM software preferred.
