Performing a variety of tasks in the assigned department. Possible to be in multiple areas of the plant during the week working on varied projects and customer orders.
Housekeeping and cleaning of work areas - keep clean and free of tripping hazards during shift and end of shift cleaning of the area. In addition, good housekeeping of areas employee utilizes; break rooms, bathrooms, refrigerators etc.
Learn and understand from the Paper Converting Machine Operators capability and capacity of machines and assist with driving efficiencies limiting waste and downtime. Do not sacrifice quality for machine speeds - must have both excellent quality and high efficiencies with minimal downtime.
Qualifications?

Position Summary:
We're looking for a Production Worker for the Niles, OH facility.
This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks involved in the production of L.B. Foster products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Production Workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production.
Essential Functions:
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Carry out verbal and written instructions from supervisors and leads
Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions
Complete jobs in a timely fashion to ensure on time shipment
Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools and sit down forklifts
Maintain a clean and safe work area using appropriate tools or equipment for shoveling, sweeping, and general housekeeping.
Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions
Perform regular and basic preventative maintenance checks and tasks on machinery

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in accordance with applicable procedures and/or manuals to determine causes of component failure and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies
Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping
Communicate daily with all levels of management
Regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level a load of up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs.
Operate and maintain various equipment (such as UTV, ATV, Forklift, skid steer, snowplow, etc.)
