Supervisor of Family Services Transportation (FST) and Family and Children Together (FACT) II Pittsburgh Corporate Office Educational Requirements: * Possession of a bachelor's degree in a child-related discipline or social services field; alternatively, a minimum of three years of professional experience in the child welfare sector, with preference given to candidates who have served in supervisory or leadership capacities. Work Experience: Demonstrated experience in transporting children safely and efficiently is highly desirable. Proven ability to supervise and manage multiple staff members simultaneously, ensuring effective team coordination and performance. Skilled in recruiting, scheduling, and facilitating educational classes for birth parents, with a focus on engagement and support. Supervisory Experience: * Two years of supervisory experience preferred Job Status: * Fulltime; Exempt Qualifications: Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Must demonstrate leadership skills and qualities Must possess the knowledge of foster care services and client/family needs Must possess excellent clinical skills Superior communication skills needed both orally and written Ability to use transportation technology and computer applications including but not limited to; Field Force Manager, KIDs system, and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel Responsibilities: Compile and analyze a variety of data (e.g. transport hours, school transport, etc.) for the purpose of developing formal reports; conveying information; complying with reporting of outcomes and making recommendations to improve the Transportation Department. Maintain and follow the inclement weather plan. Participate in a variety of activities (e.g. meetings, training, etc.) for the purpose of receiving and/or conveying information required to perform job functions. Recommend policies, procedures and/or actions as needed and/or assigned (e.g. boundary changes, personnel requirements, etc.) for the purpose of providing direction and/or making decisions that enhance the Transportation Department. Will provide coverage as needed. Interface with the Child and Family Service Department to address client issues. Identify and establish collaborative relationships with community resources and stakeholders, and when possible, facilitate Memorandums of Understanding for those collaborative relationships. Assist in the establishment of Transportation protocols specific to DPW and applicable ACCYF requirements. Assist in the development and administration of agency Transportation policies and procedures. Regularly review all documentation related to transportation case assistant tasks. Interface with the Child and Family Service Department to address client issues. Complete monthly scheduling and assist in the daily emergency transportation needs of all families referred to A Second Chance Inc. Train and evaluate all Family Service Transportation workers in all functions/responsibilities of the transportation position. Provide guidance, direction and oversight to the Transportation Department staff. Work on-call hours as a supervisor within the transportation rotation. Supervise case management activities related to family reunification, child safety, and permanency planning. Review and approve service plans, assessments, and documentation prepared. Monitor case progress and intervene when necessary to address barriers or risks. Lead and manage a team of caseworkers and support staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations. Coordinate FACT program operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and service delivery. Track program outcomes and performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement. Support agency audits and reviews, ensuring documentation and practices meet standards. Collaborate with birth families, foster families, legal representatives, and community partners to support child welfare goals. Represent the agency in multidisciplinary team meetings, court hearings, and community forums. Advocate family needs and ensure equitable access to services.
