ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS + Responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting team, which includes identifying and solving accounting and business issues as they arise. + Prepare and present variance analysis for the segments balance sheets and income statements monthly and/or quarterly. + Prepare, analyze and present financial reporting packages for the operational and environmental segments. + Responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of acquired companies. + Manage the month-end accounting activities to report the segment's financial results timely and accurately. + Assist with financial planning preparation. + Provide guidance to the accounting team and across the Operational accounting structure by assisting, training and developing them in accounting resolutions, guidance and companies' policies to ensure accounting processes and controls are maintained effectively. + Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide needed information for audit requirements. + Assist senior management with process improvement ideas and implementations. + Participate in ad hoc projects as needed ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Performs other duties as assigned EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in accounting Master's degree accounting/finance preferred EXPERIENCE Five (5) years or more experience in public accounting or four (4) years with a master's degree.
