Maintain aircrafts and their associated engines and sub-systems to ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed and aircraft airworthiness requirements are met. Key Responsibilities: Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structural components such as cowlings and functional components. Rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units. Inspects engines and associated components for airworthiness. Repair or replace defective engine components. Sit, stoop, bend, crawl, crouch, and climb aircraft to repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structural components such as cowlings and functional components. Remove and install engines, props or rotor blades, transmissions, flight controls and other aircraft components. Read and interpret original equipment manufacturer and program maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other related documentation to determine feasibility and method of altering or repairing the aircraft and its associated components. Determine the airworthiness of the aircraft and its associated components. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical wiring and associated components. Perform progressive phase, periodic and other calendar/hourly inspections. Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including hydraulic system servicing, engine oil replenishment, aircraft systems lubrication, aircraft fueling, etc. Interacts with Company Production Control, the Customer and manufacturer in matters that concern the airworthiness of the aircraft, operational readiness of the aircraft and issues related to the troubleshooting of the aircraft system. Knowledge of U.S. Army Maintenance Documentation System, i.e.,738-751 DoS Pam Gen 1, 328-23. Required to complete maintenance documentation in compliance with all applicable program procedures. Federal Aviation Administration issue Mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings or acceptable Host Nation equivalency.
