Day Shift: 0500 - 1400, but may vary due to arrival and departure times. Monday through Friday, with some weekend requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Predeparture and daily inspections of aircraft.
Launch and recovery of USMS aircraft.
Pireps Log Book items.
Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards.
Perform heavy maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
Perform any type of aircraft rigging.
Use FAA approved data i.e. IPC, M M, OHM, SRM proficiently.
Effectively interact with customer representatives.
Must be comfortable exercising the full privilege of A&P license.
Inspect aircraft prior to takeoff for defects, such as fuel or oil leaks or malfunctions in electrical, hydraulic, or pressurization systems, according to preflight checklist.
May perform repairs upon completion of flight.
All other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate test vehicles across diverse environments, road types, and weather conditions while adhering to all local traffic laws and safety protocols.
Follow detailed instructions to prepare vehicles and components for testing; collaborate with fellow operators and engineers to execute test plans.
Maintain strong focus on test objectives and communicate effectively to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate test execution.
Perform a range of driving tasks, including route-based driving, short engineering test drives, and transport/delivery driving.
Produce accurate, detailed, and comprehensive test reports and ticket updates.
Support test activities using engineering principles, analysis tools, and established practices to meet performance targets and standards.
Travel to test sites, customer locations, public roads, and environments ranging from standard conditions to extreme or challenging terrain.
Coordinate logistical aspects of testing, including location readiness, tool availability, and resource planning.
Conduct quality assurance evaluations, assessing functionality, performance, drivability, and overall user experience.
Drive safely in daylight, darkness, and adverse weather/road conditions; complete all assigned tests and tasks within designated timeframes.
Work effectively both independently and with in-vehicle partners (passenger operators).
Adhere to all security protocols for test vehicles and immediately report any security concerns to the drive supervisor.
Assist with broader operational activities as required (e.g., equipment/material movement within the facility, uploading data disks, general operations support).
Use ticketing/workflow tools (e.g., JIRA) to collect feedback, schedule fixes, and track progress.
Required Qualifications
**MVR and NDA:** Clean Motor Vehicle Record and ability to sign/adhere to a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
1-2 years of experience in the technology industry or demonstrated strong interest in the field.
Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record; comfortable driving for extended periods (four 10-hour shifts).
Proficiency with ticketing/workflow tools (e.g., JIRA) for feedback collection, scheduling fixes, and tracking progress.
Strong organizational and process-oriented skills; ability to follow structured schedules and meet deadlines.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
High comfort with technology and ability to troubleshoot basic issues in-vehicle and during testing.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce accurate, detailed test reports.
Ability to work both independently and with an in-vehicle partner.
Willingness to pick up vehicles at Tempe HQ and, when vehicles are out of service, report to AZ labs (PHX0, PHX1, PHX3, Chandler) based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with vehicle testing, field operations, mapping/data collection, or autonomy/robotics environments.
Familiarity with engineering test documentation, basic analysis tools, and quality assurance practices.
Experience operating in challenging driving conditions (night driving, adverse weather, varied terrain).
Prior use of GPS/mapping systems and data logging workflows.
