Import / Export Project Coordinator - 17726Description The Import / Export Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting import and export shipments for defense programs including obtaining and verifying for accuracy the required proof of export documents, executing ERP system transactions, completing Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) filings, and liaising with the Trade Compliance team to confirm licensing requirements.
They will serve as a key program team member ensuring consistent communication between various departments and program leads to facilitate timely and compliant imports and exports of international orders.
This team member may also assist the International Compliance Manager with document preparation, coordinating customer routed shipments, export clearances, and import clearances.
What you will be responsible for:Coordinate and track shipments of goods for import and export.
Monitor shipments for compliance with regulations and international trade laws.
Create and manage schedules and timelines for shipments.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all shipments and transactions.
Resolve any issues or delays which arise in the shipment process.
Acquire AES and AWB documentation from freight forwarders and review for compliance.
Follow-up as needed with freight forwarders and supply any necessary information to facilitate return of required documentation.
Responsible for the preparation of the Shippers Letter of Instruction and/or AES Filing submission.
Assist with coordinating customer routed pick-ups.
Work with external third parties to obtain ECCN and Schedule B classifications.
Assist with import clearances and associated documentation filings / ERP transactions.
All other duties as assigned.
