Common occupational therapy intervention works one-on-one with patients, focusing on their individual needs to help them achieve improved quality of life and independence goals such as participation in school and social situations. In addition, OT's help patients recover from injury to regain motor skills, and provide supports to patients experiencing physical and cognitive changes or challenges due to injury, disability or aging.
