ABB Electrification is looking for a Manufacturing/Quality Tester to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting testing at our manufacturing facility in Florence, SC. Your duties will include executing tests or checks in accordance with the procedures and instructions outlined in manuals and test scripts. You will also be tasked with assignments that necessitate a strong understanding of standard testing equipment and procedures. Additionally, you will assemble, operate, and maintain equipment while keeping accurate records and test data. Your keen attention to detail and dedication to safety will play a crucial role in fostering continuous improvements within the testing department.
Your Role:
Physical pre-testing activities for the products to ensure the quality of the product or manufacturing process.
Conduct various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures.
Read and interpret engineering configuration and wiring drawings.
Collaborate with Engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Basic technical tasks training with 2+ years of experience. Alternately, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
Capable of reading and interpreting engineering configuration and wiring drawings.
Requires ability to determine actions within limits defined by test equipment practices and procedures, and to select, reduce and summarize pertinent test data.
Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, recommend repair and modifications.

This position is responsible for all aspects of Greensboro's demand and capacity planning, recipe management and execution, metal inputs, metal flow, metal warehousing and inventory.
The position and incumbent must be able to successfully operate and get results within a Matrix Organization. The position has a solid line reporting relationship to the Director of Metal Planning and a very strong dotted line reporting relationship with the Greensboro Plant Manager. The incumbent must be able to balance, champion, and challenge the capabilities of the plant and ongoing needs of the business.
The incumbent must be able to collaborate with personnel across various skillsets, backgrounds, and business silos to effectively get results. As the business continues to transform and evolve, the incumbent must be able to adapt, positively lead change, and deliver on commitments.
The position will be required to serve as a champion for the World Class Management (WCM) rollout at the facility.
The position is responsible for reporting and analysis on all aspects of metal inputs, flow, and inventory positions. Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar, with at least 4 years of experience in Quality department working as Quality Assurance Engineer; or alternately a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments in Quality.
Strong knowledge in Quality Control tools and Problem Solving methodologies.
Lead auditor certified is desirable or at least Internal Auditor certified ISO 9001:2015.
Knowledge in 10CFRPart 50 Appendix B is desirable.
Operates in a fast-paced environment where decisions must be made quickly, and teamwork is essential.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs, Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft outlook.

Job Overview :
The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment. In addition, you need to have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.
Responsibilities :
In addition to performing preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment, our service techs will interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns. Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies necessary to complete installations and repairs. All service technicians will assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
* Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers.
* Provides technical assistance on equipment pre-commissioning and start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems. Including "hands-on" work to assure equipment operates to customer's requirement with limited guidance from the Master Technician.
* Increases Ingersoll Rand customers awareness of how Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions, such as Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits and Leak Detection can benefit their operations.
Requirements :
* 2 years+ experience of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
* Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
* Every service technician is required to be on-call, but you will not be on-call for the first 90 days to get used to the schedule. This is shared with every service tech, and it requires being available 24/7 for the 1-week duration where you will go to customer sites. On-call weeks can be as often as every 4 weeks or greater than 4 weeks, but that will be determined by the hiring manager.
* This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move weight limits in line with the safety policy.
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Core Competencies :
* Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
* Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
* Basic vibration troubleshooting.
* Basic Air Quality (system compressor/dryer - air treatment).
* Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage. Working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) and network bases.
* Maintain proper business travel practices in a cost-efficient manner.
Preferences :
* Industrial air compressor maintenance & knowledge.
* EPA Certification.
* Veterans/Active-Duty Military are encouraged to apply.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements :
* Service Technicians will travel daily in a 3-hour radius within our service area.
* A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

THE ROLE: The Project Manager plans, monitors, and manages customer projects from initiation through completion. This role secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage budgets, risks, and changes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including creating presentations for clients
Strong people skills, effective verbal and written communication

SALARY:
The estimated salary range for this position is 80,000 to $95,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
