This Position reports to:
Business Manager - E2E
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the Operations function at the global level. Each day, you will set and drive global strategy in all the Operations areas, along with target setting for the entire value chain, including safety, quality, inventory, delivery performances, productivity, and project execution. You will also showcase your expertise by designing the global operational footprint strategy as per product portfolio management requirements and supporting local units in the execution, including Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and divestment projects support.

This role is contributing to the Global Analytical Business Line with the the Process Automation Measurement and Analytics Division in ABB.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Defining, aligning, driving, and continuously improving customer-focused Operations strategy in alignment with global organization strategy.
* Establishing effective sales and operations planning processes for the global organization and achieving the desired outcomes.
* Coordinating project execution and/or quality issues in global customer accounts and following up and supporting the timely and effective resolution, including risk assessment, to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
* A university degree (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.) with specialty in operations management or industrial engineering or equivalent market experience.
* More than 10 years of experience in multinational senior global operations management in the industrial measurement market or at least in a high tech/high complexity low to medium volume product manufacturing
* Deep knowledge and practical experience of ERP systems (preferably SAP), Lean 6 sigma quality program, operational excellence tools, processes and best practices..
* Experience in strategic, operational planning and execution, with profit and loss responsibility, of global factories and large project execution.
* Strong intercultural and collaboration skills across all functions of a large multinational organization

You are passionate about traveling more than 80% of the time, across the United States and occasionally international, and interacting with customers at their facilities. Traveling is a requirement for this role.

Job Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing field technical support for IR products, striving to be customer focused, fully responsive and successful in meeting the 24/7 technical service needs of customers. Develop a collaborative relationship with the balance of IR to establish this area as the "go to" place for technical field service knowledge. Qualifications for the role

Design, create, and repair mechanical components or sub-assemblies using applied mechanical engineering principles, including solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.

Create prototypes and conduct testing to ensure design performs as expected.
Work with fabrication and manufacturing departments to ensure final design is properly executed in the creation of mechanical products.

Sales Support Manager
The Application Engineering Specialist is the first point of contact for the local sales organization for Large Motors and Generators (LMG) products within the Motion Business (MOHP-US).
In accordance with company policies and procedures, the Application Engineer processes customer inquiries, orders, and requests for proposals (RFP). The Application Engineer prepares a motor design by using PC software and product technical knowledge. You will work cross functionally with engineering, sales, production, marketing, customer service internal functions and external end users and customers.

You will be mainly accountable for:
Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications, orders quotes and proposals that fit customer needs.
Perform technical tasks to design a motor in accordance with the customer requirements, ensuring that the solution is the most cost effective.
Act as a technical resource in person or over the phone to customer for addressing, interpreting and resolving of technical inquiries and problems related to assigned product lines or/and regions.
Proactively engages in initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the LSU and to increase customer satisfaction.
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a 4-year degree in a STEM, Business related field.
2+ years' experience involving AC Induction motors, generators or industrial products.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from, and effectively present information to customers, vendors, management and other employees of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting technical industrial or Drives sales teams.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the project bid process and technical aspects of applications in heavy industries where variable speed drive and motor equipment packages are required. And not only that; the successful candidate will also provide support in early stages of project sales cycles, resolve contractual issues, and support negotiations through which those variable speed drives and motors are sold. Further, you will articulate our manufacturing, delivery, and commissioning processes to our customers. This role is contributing to the Motion High Power Division, Packaging Business Line in New Berlin, WI and Houston, TX area.
You will be mainly accountable to:
* Project Proposal Management: In this role you will lead proposal activities for assigned variable frequency drive system project pursuits for End Users, EPCs, and Project OEM Customers. This will include reviewing Customer specifications, leading system dimensioning and product configurations, specifying equipment for sub-suppliers, as well as supporting contract reviews and Terms and Conditions negotiations. You will also interface with our project execution and commissioning teams to outline and/or validate preliminary project schedules and commissioning services. You will lead our internal Project Risk Review process covering technical, financial, and commercial aspects of proposals.
* Customer Relationships: You will establish and maintain effective customer relationships and ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
* Risk Management: You will identify risks and opportunities resulting from Customer requirements and specifications and prescribe how to best mitigate those risks through actions, in coordination with the Project Execution team.
* Supplier Management: You will help identify potential vendors for equipment and materials required in projects through the evaluation of supplier proposals against Customer or ABB internal specifications. You will also work with primary vendors on standardized pricing agreements in collaboration with Supply Chain Management.
* Presentation Skills: You will prepare and deliver Customer-ready product and solution presentations for different applications, both virtually and at Customer locations.
* Specification Influencing: You work with our project sales team and our customers to position our products and services as a means to helping Customers solve their challenging problems. You will ensure the value we have to offer is communicated, understood, and appreciated, enabling ABB to partner with Customers and provide solutions for their projects.

Qualifications for the role
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 10+ years business experience in related areas; e.g. Sales, Product Engineering, Technical Support, Application Engineering, Test Engineering
* Strong technical knowledge about medium voltage variable speed drives and applications. Commercial astuteness.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Project Lead Engineer for our Local Business Line Marine Systems US & Canada. The role will be responsible for Project Planning & Execution, Team Coordination, Technical Leadership, Mentorship, Documentation & Reporting and Budget Management related to assigned projects.
