Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Chemical, physical, or Biological. * If Bachelor's degree is not a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Scientist program, such as having a Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry, then ASCP certification is required at the time of hire or transferring into that role Preferred/Optional: None EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: None Preferred/Optional: Medical Technology student internship highly recommended. Previous laboratory experience is recommended. Experience with Laboratory Information Systems is beneficial. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position. Minimum Required: Certification or eligibility for certification by American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or (AMT) American Medical Technologist. Certification is required within 6 months of hire. Individuals in this role prior to January 1, 2018 are exempt from the ASCP or AMT certification requirement. *Categorical certifications are also acceptable which include yet not limited to: Technologist in Chemistry (C ), Technologist in Hematology (H), and Technologist in Microbiology (M).
