WHAT YOU'LL DO
Respond to machine breakdowns due to electrical malfunctions or hardware/software failure
Conduct preventative maintenance tasks for all electrical equipment and instruments
Draft calibration and preventative maintenance procedures for new and existing instruments
Install and troubleshoot new and modified equipment
Conduct project work/electrical upgrades and monitor contractor project work and upgrades
Monitor and repair facility and emergency system electrical failures
Follow calibration procedures to calibrate all the instruments in the plant calibration program
Work well with minimal supervision
Follow all plant and department procedures, GMPs, JSAs and general plant safety rules
Keep all work areas clean and neat
Lead other employees and provide OJT for people new to the department; and record and communicate shift activity in an organized manner
Be certified for lockout/tag out and confined space entry procedures
Provide support to primary plant operations
Total plant equipment coverage includes {but is not limited to): packaging lines, processing, filling, warehouse, and facilities where necessary
Assignments include: responding to equipment emergencies; troubleshooting system input/outputs and multiple sensing devices; communicating routinely with line personnel and supervision to maintain knowledge of the latest production schedule; communicating potential equipment problems to production and maintenance supervisors to allow scheduling of repairs; looking for and implementing equipment and outputs; and finding analog control values in the PLC logic programming
Responsible for calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the electrical equipment and instruments of the Columbus
Accurately complete calibration records in compliance with all corporate, state, and federal regulations
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system
SHIFT
12-Hour rotating Night Shift, 6p-6:30am
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED minimum
Experience calibrating temperature probes, pressure transmitters/probes (emerson), conductivity probes
Understand electricity and electrical theory, possess a working knowledge of computers, computer operating systems, electrical and pneumatic components and devices, and the ability to work safely in electrical panels with up to 480 volts
Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, follow diagnostic and repair procedures from instrument equipment manuals on a wide variety of equipment requires training and experience in electrical theory, electronics, plant systems, equipment and procedures
Attention to detail and the ability to complete required documentation in a neat and accurate manner
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related education and experience
Experience with PLC's and integration, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic instrumentation and control devices

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY
Under Minimum supervision, the Equipment Tech responds to calls for respiratory therapy equipment and compressed gas cylinders needs throughout the hospital. Responsible for the delivery of compressed gas cylinders, maintenance of respiratory care equipment and support of the respiratory care services staff. Performs all duties that are required of a respiratory care support services technician. Oversees and indirectly manages student tech activities within the department. Also, ensures that all tech services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center. Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of administrative, secretarial and complex clerical duties for the team. Follows complex oral and written instructions, uses independent judgment and word processing software, follows established office procedures and is familiar with departmental and hospital policies. Performs various clerical and administrative duties depending on administrators needs which may include collecting and preparing data for management assignments, reports and presentations and assisting with monitoring department QI/PI initiatives. Appropriately direct calls takes accurate messages or responds to calls by utilizing knowledge of policies procedures and practices. Works to support audiovisual needs of the dept and produces educational videos and power points for staff meetings, educational events and QI/PI tracking initiatives.

Who We Are: Lutheran Hospital is a community-based, acute-care hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It includes Lutheran Hospice Center and Lutheran Spine Center at Denver West.
Lutheran Hospital began in 1905 as the Evangelical Lutheran Sanitarium, a tent colony for tuberculosis patients. As medical advances diminished the demand for tuberculosis treatment, community leaders decided the center should meet a new need. Community-based Lutheran Hospital, a not-for-profit, general medical facility located on a 100-acre campus, opened its doors in 1961.

Essential Functions:
Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications required for position.
Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to Angio lab policies and procedures and Scope of Practice documents.
Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment for patients and staff.
Develops specific knowledge about invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques.
Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging, obtaining necessary consents, maintaining applicable QC (Quality Control) programs, and reporting any equipment failures or problems.
Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and address patient and/or family concerns.
Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents.
Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
At the end of the procedure, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis.
Performs advanced interventional procedures including ablation procedures, stents, thrombectomy, embolization.
Orient new angio staff, provide teaching, coaching, mentoring and provide direct supervision as a defined preceptor.
Proctors other staff including specialized equipment and procedural techniques.

Functions under the direction of the Cath_EP Lab manager/Director. The cardiovascular technologist II assists with providing safe, age-appropriate care to the patient by performing cardiovascular cath and/or electrophysiology procedures provided by the department according to department procedures. The technologist has the knowledge and ability to obtain a quality diagnostic study properly and safely. The cardiovascular technologist II is responsible for maintaining sterile technique during procedures and assisting the Cath Lab Manager/Director in the maintenance of a safe and efficient environment dealing primarily with adults eighteen to sixty-five, and geriatric patients over the age of sixty-five. Has a minimum of 1 year of experience performing invasive cardiovascular procedures or graduate of a CVT program. The cardiovascular technologist II participates in the cath or EP call rotation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Respond to machine breakdowns due to electrical malfunctions or hardware/software failure
* Conduct preventative maintenance tasks for all electrical equipment and instruments
* Draft calibration and preventative maintenance procedures for new and existing instruments
