The Key Account Executive - Eye Care (Retina) is an in-field position focused on our top retina customers including independent retina group practices and private-equity backed groups. The Field Clinical Specialist is a visible position that will provide case support to physicians within certain territories. Case support will be done on peripheral and coronary interventional procedures in the pre-market and post-market phases of product development with the Shockwave Medical Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology. The Field Clinical Specialist will also play a critical role in clinical studies including device training, case support and ensuring timely data collection for clinical programs. Job Description

The Account Specialist role promotes a product to community practices and health systems. Customer accounts may include community/private practices, community-based hospitals, academic medical centers, and government accounts (military treatment facilities and/or Veteran's Affairs Medical Centers). The Account Specialist develops and maintains relationships with various accounts/departments such as neurology, pain medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, and pharmacy.
Responsibilities
* Promote a product to meet/exceed sales goals in community/private practices as well as hospitals/health systems.
* Comply with all company policies, required reports, requests and promotional compliance and effectively manages AbbVie field assets.
* Identify/uncover customer needs (training, clinical, operational, reimbursement) and address with appropriate AbbVie resources.
* Expert delivery of anatomical/procedural information and training, including the appropriate use of anatomical terminology to train injection paradigms/postures while highlighting various anatomical and injection insights and considerations.
* Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other key hospital personnel.
* Collaborate with other Account Specialist to promote the product for approved indications and execute individual, department, or group resident/fellow trainings within hospital/health system accounts.
* Effectively utilize AbbVie's sales and data resources to enhance productivity and growth of AbbVie products while implementing U.S. Marketing Plan.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
* Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor's degree is at least five (5) years of technical experience with three (3) or more years of experience within sales preferred and a high school diploma/GED required
* Ability to manage a complex sell, learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information quickly and communicate/present/train to a variety of audiences
* Ability to lift/pull 25-100 lb. training models and meet necessary hospital credentialing/vaccination requirements
* Ability to travel adequately to cover territory, as well as overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings
* Documented history of strong sales performance, preferably in a clinical/technical/consultative sales role with multiple decision makers is preferred.

The Software Engineer Co-Op will make vital contributions to the Robotics, Handheld Instruments, or Digital Products pipelines and transform patient care through innovation. They are responsible for working with our NPD teams to design and develop product software for use in cutting edge medical devices and associated capital equipment.
Responsibilities will increase with each rotation as you learn more by returning to school. Rotations are generally 12 weeks and availability for multiple rotations is desired. We offer a competitive wage and housing assistance to non-local students that live 50+ miles from the site. The R&D Design & Development Co-op program provides each student with a great support system, as well as the opportunity to meet people from various schools throughout the country.

What You Will Do

The intern will be an integral member of the Amgen Inclusive Global Health and Impact (IGHI) Team, which is dedicated to embedding impact at every step of the value chain-from molecule to market-by uniting science, strategy, and multi-sector partnerships
As a member of Amgen's IGHI Team, your work will be highly collaborative across multiple teams and levels within Amgen, including Representation in Clinical Research (RISE), Access to Health (ATH), and Health Impact. Additionally, you will have the chance to work cross-functionally with Research & Development, Corporate Affairs, Government Affairs, Health Equity, Advocacy Relations, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, and others. You will be uniquely responsible for one or more key projects that will advance the IGHI mission, including the following:
Developing a project charter to map out objectives and identify key stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables
Leveraging your analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work in teams, identify problems, conduct research, develop recommendations through qualitative and quantitative analysis, and deliver final projects
Presenting your deliverables/findings through various forums including an intern-wide poster session and a final readout to executive management
You will also be engaged in learning activities, networking with colleagues across the company, and enjoying full access to Amgen's Employee Resource Groups

Basic Qualifications:

18 years or older
Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship OR co-op
Preferred Qualifications

Global Regulatory Policy team engages regulators, industry and professional associations, and patient advocates externally and subject matter experts across Amgen to advance important policy issues within the U.S. aligned with Amgen's goals and priorities. In this vital role you will lead the development and articulation of Amgen's positions on regulatory policies that impact Amgen's business and will serve as a U.S. Policy Lead for Global Regulatory Policy and Intelligence.
Key Responsibilities include:
Masters a range of regulatory policy topics and provides strategic U.S> regulatory policy advice and guidance related to Amgen's product portfolio, including a focus on artificial intelligence and emerging regulatory technologies (e.g., cloud-based submissions)
Engages US regulatory authorities, industry, and professional associations at the policy level
Leverages key relationships with FDA staff and industry and trade association colleagues to advance Amgen's position related to regulatory policy
Coordinates the implementation of new U.S. regulatory policy and guidance across Amgen functions
Engages cross-functional teams to develop strategic/long-term plans for the development and implementation of policies
