Responsibilities:
Learn daily gas compressor and compressor facility operations. Good housekeeping
Handle on-call duties, and drive company vehicle to locations
Work is performed in learning mode. Learned appropriate tools to use, identify, diagnose, and repair/replace equipment. Basic troubleshooting
Maintain up-to-date reporting of facility operations and be responsible for all the aspects required for the JBPE
Daily interaction with Foremen, Compressor Operators, Mechanics, and Lease Operators. Occasionally works side-by-side with contractors
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, including special projects

Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts.

This job requires working knowledge of technical publications.
