Summary: This position will deliver Radiation Therapy Treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Prepares patients for a course of Radiation Therapy inclusive of simulation, dose calculations and acquiring of treatment parameters. This is an all new Oncology Facility at Grant Hospital. The Team utilizes Aria Charting and has a Varian Truebeam on site. *The schedule for this position will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8am-4:30pm. Responsibilities And Duties: 35% Administers Radiation Therapy treatments on a daily basis. 20% Maintains daily record of treatment, inclusive of daily dosages and calculations and other necessary treatment records. 5% Performs simulations, acquires treatment parameters, patient contours and dose calculations. 10% Therapists who are scheduled to work 80 hours per pay, may be required to be on-call for weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. 10% Maintains patient schedules for In-Patients and Out-Patients communicates frequently with families and hospital personnel to maintain schedule coordination and accommodate patients as best as possible. 10% Monitors patient Condition and progress on a daily basis. i.e., patient weighs, skin care, reaction, etc. . 5% Assists Radiation Oncologist in performance of Brachytherapy procedures. Oversees and directs clinical activities of Radiation Therapy Technology students. Provides clinical insight to Radiologic Technology students, nursing students, etc. as needed. 5% Participates in Department Clinical QA activities, new patient conference, tumor board and QRM. Summary: The Student Imaging Tech Aide is integral to the overall patient and guest experience. The Student Imaging Tech Aide duties include but are not limited to the following: provide support to clinicians in the preparation, performance and post procedural work of providing patient care. Requirements High school diploma, GED, or other equivalency preferred 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role preferred Familiarity with the communities served Successful completion of all required initial and ongoing training, including Lead Caregiver training and CHW certification Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated interpersonal, problem-solving, advocacy, and evaluation skills Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, stopping, and standing for an average of 5 hours per day Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Valid driver's license and car insurance, required A secondary form of ID is required for e-verify Reliable transportation and ability to cover an assigned geographic region Must be able to pass background checks and drug test per company standards Must have a smartphone capable of downloading apps and using data for documentation and clocking in/out Commitment to maintaining and expanding knowledge through continuing education and training Salary Description $15 / hour
