Picks, packs, and ships supplies and materials to customers accurately and quickly; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials.
WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transport incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas using hand trucks, forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, electric pallet jacks, and pallet jacks.
Perform quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
Pick, pack, and ship products efficiently and accurately.
Process all packages for shipping and handle returned merchandise.
Conduct physical inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
Check products in accordance with receiving paperwork and crosscheck purchase orders against packing lists.
Label inventory as needed.
Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Participate in quality improvement efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE - QUALIFICATIONS:
One to two years of related experience in a warehouse environment
Prior experience with material handling equipment such as sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and stock pickers
Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods
Experience using handheld RF scan guns and basic computer skills
Positive and professional attitude with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Commitment to excellence and high standards with good oral communication skills and strong attention to detail
Preferred a valid driver's license
Ability to pass company background screening, motor vehicle report and drug testing requirements
Work environment:
Lift and move at least 75 pounds without assistance, up to 130 pounds with help
Pick, pack, and stack 100-1000 boxes daily
Engage in climbing, sitting, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, overhead lifting, and stair climbing
Operate and climb into forklifts
Stand for extended periods
Safety footwear, such as steel toe or composite toe, is mandatory
Most work occurs in a warehouse with varying temperatures and moderate to high noise levels
Dock doors remain open, causing temperature fluctuations
Some areas may become dusty if products are stationary

Compensation: This position pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$19.00

Under direct supervision receives, stores, selects and loads products within warehouse by performing the following duties as directed by immediate supervisor or Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Move Merchandise: Operate hand jacks and/or Material Handling Equipment experience in operating material handling equipment such as hand jacks, forklifts, reach's, order pickers, and other various material handling equipment.

Reports To: Warehouse Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Loading, unloading and organizing of new furniture and accessories. Rewrapping and relocating returned furniture. Supervision Received Direct reporting to and supervision from the Warehouse Manager and/or the Assistant Warehouse Manager.

Essential Functions
Unloading, staging, and receiving new merchandise into inventory using a bar code scanner;
Opening and inspecting damaged cartons immediately to assess the damage
Locating new merchandise into the appropriate rack locations organized efficiently and safely;
Picking furniture for delivery and customer pick ups by using a picking report;
Opening the picked product and placing it in the appropriate area for delivery;
Assembling merchandise as needed;
Inspecting the merchandise for defects;
Performing minor touch up when needed;
Assisting with loading merchandise in customers vehicles for pick up;
Keeping the warehouse clean and free of all safety hazards;
Sweeping warehouse floors daily and throwing trash in appropriate areas;
Assuming the duties of the Delivery Driver (if authorized) or Delivery Helper if needed (if applicable to facility);
Operating Forklift on a daily basis; safety course required prior to use;
Assisting Visual Merchandiser with floor moves and/or resets
Performing other related duties or special projects as assigned.
Required Education/Experience/Abilities/Skills
High School diploma or GED equivalency certificate;
Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills;
Commitment to Bassett's "Vision and Values" at all times;
Ability to:
Work in an organized and safety conscious manner;
Work as a team with an enthusiastic attitude;
Effectively communicate with customer's, co-workers and management;
Read, understand and write the English language;
Lift and move products weighing up to 70 pounds without a lifting device
Lift and move products in excess of 70 pounds with an approved lifting device;
Walk, stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, use and/or control tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, and see up close, in color, depth and distance vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for the receipt and shipment of incoming and outgoing materials, supplies, and products to and from vendors. Responsibilities:
Monitors and maintains current inventory levels
Maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
Receives goods from Receiving/Inspection, stocks items; labels shelves as necessary.
Accurately pulls parts from stock for all jobs per kit list requirements.
Kits all materials for jobs for easy delivery.
Maintains overhead stock and prepares purchasing requisition for replenishment as needed.
Compares inventories both visually and to office records, or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
Performs weekly cycle counts.
Prepares sales order folders for production.
May operate various office machines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Business Administration, or related discipline. In lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience required.
0 - 2 years of related experience, experience in a full-service shipping environment preferred.
Must have hands on experience with both domestic and international shipping.
Physical Demands:
The role is mostly office-based but may spend some time standing and walking on the production floor.
May be required to operate a computer and/or other office devices.
Occasionally will have to lift and/or transport items weighing between 10 and 40 pounds.
Work Environment:
Predominately in a stockroom or warehouse environment with frequent exposure to the production floor and engineering lab.
While on the production floor or engineering lab, employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts and may be required to put on precautionary, protective wear such as goggles.
Some travel may be required.
