Job Overview
As aQuality Control Manager (QCM)at Absher, youll be responsible for implementing and overseeing a comprehensive project-specific quality control program. This includes managing compliance from notice of award through final completion across all scopes of work. Youll be a key team member ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance especially on complex, government, or infrastructure projects.
What Youll Do
Lead the execution of project-specific QC programs covering all work divisions
Identify and resolve quality concerns early in coordination with the project team
Prepare QC Plans, including inspection checklists, testing requirements, and Definable Features of Work (DFOWs)
Oversee QA/QC efforts of subcontractors and third-party inspection teams
Participate in site meetings such as commissioning, 3D coordination, and pull planning sessions
Support and mentor project team members in executing QC-related tasks
Engage directly with owners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to uphold quality standards
Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement tracking, and documentation compliance
May temporarily supplement the roles of Project Superintendent or Project Manager
Participate in site safety audits, orientations, and investigations as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field
6+ years of federal construction experience on projects that adhere to USACE or NAVFAC Quality Control standards
Familiar with EM 385-1-1 and federal safety/sustainability protocols
Ability to obtain or current holder of Army Corps of Engineers QCM certification
Eligible for access to secure government work sites (some require U.S. citizenship)
Comfortable using tablets and mobile software for inspections and reporting
Ability to commute up to 60 miles or 2 hours from home to project site
Physically capable of lifting, standing, walking, climbing, and using field equipment as needed

This job may be performed in the office or on the jobsite and requires frequent sitting (often working on a computer), frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. POSITION SUMMARY

Your Qualifications

* Work with the superintendent(s) to update the schedule with addition detail as design evolves and subcontractors and suppliers confirm commitments to durations and procurement.
* Work with the project manager(s) and project engineer(s) to develop a procurement schedule that supports the requirements of the master schedule. Include detailed MEP coordination and BIM execution plans.
* Work with the superintendent(s) to develop a site/project logistics plan that incorporates all temporary facilities, access and safety considerations to facilitate the installation of the MEP systems.
* Evaluate and advise on major MEP equipment selection (as applicable) optimizing cost, production, logistics, safety and quality.
* Provide constructability feedback on all MEP systems to optimize the project delivery and provide exceptional value to our client.
* Schedule and participate in all pre-construction conferences with the permitting authority or AHJ.
* Have a working knowledge and understanding of the owner contract, general requirements, general conditions and subcontractor scope documents.
Construction
* Work with the superintendent(s) to develop, manage and update the detailed CPM master schedule as well as produce the short interval schedule with accurate durations and activity relationships.
* Work with the superintendent(s) in leading the weekly subcontractor and foreman meetings to review progress and communicate the plan consistent with the short interval schedule.
* Coordinate, sequence and plan the installation of all MEP scopes of work. Demonstrate a willingness to create opportunities for all contractors to be successful
* Coordinate all required inspections including those with consultants, special inspectors, AHJs and owner vendors.
* Work with the MEP project manager(s), project manager(s), and project engineer(s) to develop and manage the project QA/QC plan to ensure work meets or exceeds company standards and all applicable code and contract requirements.
Closeout, Turnover and Documentation
* Actively participate in the process to achieve project occupancy and acceptance by the AHJ, owner and architect.
* Resolve MEP and CX punchlist items and deficiency reports in a timely manner.
* Ensure all daily reports and observation reports specifically related to MEP systems have been reviewed and outstanding issues resolved and documented.

About the Position:
Senior Project Engineers are responsible for all the duties and proficiencies of a Project Engineer. In addition, they provide support in the following areas:
* Serve as the technical expert on the project team sharing wisdom and experience with less experienced project engineers.
* Supervise the Project Engineer work group on site, assuring quality control and timely delivery of all materials.
* Participate in broader company initiatives, training, committees and industry associations to improve our processes and outcomes.

Senior Project Engineers work closely with project engineers, project managers, superintendents, company craftspeople and subcontractors. Project specific duties of the Senior Project Engineer will be determined on a per job basis and as necessary to assure the overall execution of the work is in accordance with contract documentation including project completion, quality, and safety.
Project Engineering
* Expert knowledge of the contract documents. Review all drawings and specifications for design inconsistencies and conflicts.
* Working knowledge of all building systems (civil, structure, enclosure, interiors and MEP) to ensure building systems are properly coordinated.
* Distribute all information required for construction to appropriate parties including construction drawings, specifications and work packages.
* Working knowledge of the project schedule and computerized scheduling systems.
* Expedite, review and approve shop drawings, submittals and safety requirements for assigned tasks. Utilize the Project Management System for shop drawing administration. Supply required submittal information such as field dimensions. Distribute approved submittals to pertinent subcontractors.
* Ensure that all materials and equipment are released for fabrication in adequate lead time to accommodate the required jobsite delivery date.
* Document all as-built changes, maintain project record drawings and specifications.
* Understand and implement all terms and conditions of all subcontracts and the owner contract.
* Receive and distribute information on clarifications and changes in the work for areas of responsibility. Obtain and check subcontractor's pricing and assist in assembling change quotations as directed by Project Manager.
* Set up project close-out procedures and manage the close-out process. Expedite submittal and review of subcontractor close-out requirements.

* Initiate the computerized Project Management System. Prepare a schedule of submittal deadlines and required approval dates. Expedite, review and approve all shop drawings and submittals.
* Maintain and issue status logs for all field questions, RFI's, changes, work orders, and T & M work.
* Prepare and distribute minutes to meetings as directed by the Project Manager.

Communication

Leadership
* As a senior leader in the overall Lewis Team, you will work in a collaborative approach with team members to ensure good relations with all parties related to the project.
* Lead technical on-the-job training for the project engineering staff. This includes navigating the contract documents, submittal reviews, writing effective RFI's and/or CDR's and quality control.
* Lead company-level technical training to the Project Engineer work group.

Job Overview
As a Project Manager at Absher, youll take ownership of project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. Youll lead and support your team to ensure quality, safety, and profitability while building trusted relationships with clients, design partners, and subcontractors. You may work in collaboration with a Senior Project Manager or Project Executive depending on project scale.
What Youll Do
Lead project execution to ensure successful delivery, financial performance, and team coordination
Oversee project startup, scheduling, change management, safety planning, quality control, and closeout
Manage relationships with owners, design partners, and subcontractors
Supervise and mentor project engineers and other staff
Review design documents for compliance with contract, standards, and constructability
Participate in preconstruction tasks including planning, estimating, and schedule development
Monitor and resolve conflicts or issues in the field in a proactive, solution-oriented manner

Familiarity with construction management platforms (e.g., Procore) a plus

Job Overview
We are seeking a Superintendent with proven experience in wastewater treatment plant upgrades, heavy industrial piping, or complex process-driven mechanical systems. This role leads field operations, drives safety and quality, coordinates subcontractors, and ensures project milestones are met. You may work alongside a Senior Superintendent or Project Executive depending on project size.
What You Do
Lead day-to-day field operations to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance
Oversee installation of process piping, mechanical systems, structural components, tanks, and equipment
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, craft workers, and specialty trades
Plan and sequence work, maintain accurate daily reports, and drive schedule adherence
Support RFIs, submittals, testing/commissioning, and turnover documentation
Lead jobsite safety practices, hold daily huddles, and reinforce OSHA requirements
Collaborate across project management, engineering, and field teams to resolve issues quickly
What You Bring
8+ years of Superintendent experience on heavy civil, wastewater treatment, industrial piping, or mechanical-process projects
Strong knowledge of process piping, plant operations, pumps, valves, controls, and treatment systems
Ability to read plans, coordinate trades, and anticipate field challenges
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and team leadership
Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with owners, inspectors, subs, and in-house teams
OSHA 30 preferred; treatment plant or industrial facility certifications a plus
