Job Description: * Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units * Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems * Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair to a variety of commercial HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, water source heat pumps, cooling towers, package rooftops, split systems, controls, pumps, VAVs * Support the full life cycle of small-scale projects from initial concept design through project completion * Perform routine maintenance tasks on facilities and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, digital controls, and other mechanical systems * Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with facilities and equipment, and repair or replace defective parts as needed * Respond to emergency maintenance requests * Conduct site visits to document existing facility conditions and develop new requirements * Prepare technical memoranda/reports to document facility conditions and project status * Ensure that all facilities are in compliance with applicable codes and regulations * Maintain accurate records related to maintenance activities and administrative tasks, including work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment inventory, and time sheets Qualifications and Skills: * At least 2 years of HVAC experience and current Journeyman licensure * High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred * Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Refrigerant Reclamation and Recovery Certification * Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints * Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems * Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques * Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) required * Familiarity with state and local building codes, OSHA regulations, and NFPA standards a plus * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations * This position will require a pre-employment physical exam * This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds * Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, heat, ionizing, and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals) You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs * Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts * Must be able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around * Must be able to go up and down stairs.
