POSITION OVERVIEW: The Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) provide alcoholism and substance abuse counseling services in approved work settings. The CASAC provides comprehensive assessment services to clients who may have substance abuse barriers to employment by applying clinical judgment to determine appropriate treatment needs and levels of care. This includes performing diagnostic assessment, evaluation, intervention, referral and alcoholism and/or substance abuse counseling in both individual and group settings. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develops and conducts group individual and family counseling on a scheduled basis to caseload clients/residents Obtain weekly random urine samples according to established protocol Orients clients/residents about program goals, objectives, rules and regulations, client's obligations, client's rights and program operation Demonstrates knowledge of group work management techniques and uses those techniques appropriately Demonstrates appropriate treatment planning and clinical intervention Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate documentation Provides education and information to the client about alcohol and drug abuse Maintains and updates referral services and resources that may be useful to our client/resident population; makes referral when necessary and appropriate Prepare legal monthly reports monthly or as needed REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma required. POSITION OVERVIEW The Vocational Counselor is critical to supporting reintegration within community for program clients. They will provide low-threshold educational and job readiness services including assessment, training, and referrals to relevant programs. They will also identify job opportunities for clients and match qualified clients with these employment opportunities. The Vocational Counselor will be responsible for developing relationships with employers, successfully placing clients into these jobs, and providing on going retention services and supports to both the employer and the consumers. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Conduct education and vocational assessments, and work with clients to develop detailed and individualized service plans. Provide low-threshold job readiness services. Provide individual and group vocational counseling and assist in the development of realistic short and long-term vocational goals. Facilitate job readiness training including resume and interviewing skills, time management skills, employee-employer communications, etc. Provide referrals to educational and/or vocational training opportunities and maintain engagement with consumers to support their retention in such programs. Write and maintain progress notes and vocational treatment plan in accordance with agency, state, and funder regulations. Develop and maintain employer relationships that can be incorporated into a job bank. Provide career coaching and job search strategies to all program clients. Ensure that clients are linked to sustainable employment opportunities when they are ready to do so. Educate client son current job market via counseling, workshops, outings, etc. and match client job skill with potential job qualifications. Assessment is repeated as needed. Complete daily progress notes and encounters for billing on time Engage client in the creating of Recovery Treatment Plan as evidenced by submitting plan with all signatures. Plan is developed according to OASAS regulations. Documents all individual, family, groups, and or crisis interventions counseling plus any other significant contact in the client's clinical record. Documents techniques used during individual, family counseling sessions and group therapy to address behaviors, attitudes and feelings and appropriately assesses their effects. Facilitate groups weekly. Documentation is completed on time. Provide regular ongoing direct services to clients, their families/significant others, helping them with adjustments problems, the need for placement, the diagnosis and implications, substance abuse counseling, etc. Maintain ongoing cooperative relationship with other disciplines to assure quality service to clients. Assist client in locating housing and applying for permanent housing as needed. Maintain and updates referral service and resources that may be useful to our population Submit required chart documentation adhering to OASAS regulatory timeframes Participate in clinical supervision as schedule REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma required. POSITION OVERVIEW Under supervision of the Program Director, the Family Specialist will provide a range of culturally competent; family-centered services that support families participating in the program with healthy lifestyle goals to empower the parent-child relationship, family support systems and community integration. Family Specialist is responsible for providing office and/or support services to families including: intake and assessment; goal planning to facilitate independence and family stability; provide support and education to promote positive parent-child interaction and healthy growth and development; and coordinate with other providers for service needs, referrals and goal planning. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assess social and psychological needs of families and children and the educational needs of children living at home. Conduct family sessions on a monthly basis. POSITION OVERVIEW Under the supervision of the Promesa Community Residence Assistant Director and Shift Supervisor, the Community Residence Aide (CRA) has the responsibility of providing residents with the highest quality care within a therapeutic environment.
