The Cook positions are one of the most important positions we have in executing every ticket with consistency, timeliness, recipe adherence, and quality control to ensure that every guest has a memorable meal. Join us as a Prepared Foods Cook!
We are seeking a dependable and driven Prepared Foods Cook to support our kitchen operations in our Chestnut Hill location. This is a full-time, non-exempt role working an anticipated 35-40 hours per week. Wednesday - Saturday availability is required. Our Prepared Foods Cooks are responsible for efficiently and consistently preparing high-volume food production in advance of service needs, ensuring seamless execution during peak hours. The successful candidate will follow standardized recipes to prepare, package, and label a diverse selection of high-quality prepared foods for retail. This is a hands-on position that plays a critical role in maintaining product availability and delivering a positive experience for our customers. What You'll Do
Prepare items from our daily production list using provided recipes
Pre-wrap and label products for sale
Keep the kitchen clean and up to sanitation standards
Pitch in with weekend shifts as needed
Follow all Weavers Way policies and procedures
Attend team meetings and all-staff gatherings
Help with quarterly inventory counts
Read the day book and other updates at the start of each shift
Take on other duties as assigned by Kitchen Management
Requirements
A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.
Prior experience in restaurant or commercial kitchens is required.
Proficient knife skills.
Volume cooking experience is a plus.
Solid knowledge of food safety practices.
A team player with great communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when needed.
Ability to remain standing for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
A genuine passion for food and current culinary trends.
