Please note that this position can be based in San Diego, CA, or in Princeton, NJ. Acadia's hybrid model requires this role to work in our office three days per week on average.
The Senior Director Business Development will work collaboratively with a variety of company functions including External Innovation (Acadia's R&D Search and Evaluation team), Commercial, Legal, and Finance as well as external resources to identify and evaluate external assets to support and enhance the Acadia portfolio. Responsibilities include leading a team and working with Executive management to implement corporate Business Development (BD) strategies. Targeted transactions will take the form of in-licensing, asset acquisitions, strategic collaborations and company acquisitions so need a strong deal sheet and track record of identifying and completing transactions in the biopharma industry. This position reports to the Vice President, Business Development.
Primary Responsibilities:
Effectively manages the transaction process (approach, opportunity assessment, due diligence, valuation, deal negotiations, deal structuring, internal governance processes, closing process and integration planning for key initiatives). Develop a solid business case for each transaction.
Drives search efforts to identify business development acquisition or in-licensing opportunities.
Performs in-depth evaluations, interpreting competitive landscape and analysis of financial data.
Assembles and effectively utilizes internal and external resources (as necessary) to ensure adequate support for each transaction
Works closely with the senior business development leadership to lead and/or assist in developing negotiation strategies.
Works with Finance to create forecasting and deal evaluation models.
Works with Legal to draft and negotiate contracts for transactions
Role supports and coordinates all deal-related activities for potential transactions. The External Innovation and Commercial teams lead the scientific and commercial assessments, which are incorporated into the overall deal package by BD.
Maintains awareness and knowledge of product strategy to assess fit of potential candidates.
Stays abreast of emerging healthcare & pharmaceutical industry trends and assess their potential impact on business strategies.
Cultivates and maintains positive relationships with biopharma companies, venture capitalists, investment bankers, and industry executives
Education/Experience/Skills:
Educational background in a scientific discipline is preferred, while an advanced scientific degree e.g. PhD is highly preferred. A minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience within Business Development or investment banking with a focus on in-licensing or acquisition of therapeutics/companies in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. A combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered. Prior experience within neurology and/or rare disease therapeutic areas is strongly preferred.
Substantial and varied transaction as well as negotiation experience.
Plays a key role leading and supporting numerous in-licensing, out-licensing, strategic collaboration, commercial alliance and acquisition transactions.
Possesses robust experience identifying, negotiating and closing transactions.
Scientific knowledge of industry sub-segments of CNS, Neurology or Orphan/Rare disease as well as industry functional areas of R&D, Clinical Development and Medical Affairs.
Proven ability to lead in a complex matrix environment with and without direct authority.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in direct and cross-functional roles.
Critical thinking skills with the ability to get to the right level of granularity to balance speed of execution and facilitate optimal decision-making by executive management.
Excellent financial analysis and research skills and ability to translate analyses into sound strategic recommendations.
Skilled at negotiating with business partners or management and influencing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry trends.
Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment, prioritize projects and deliver quality results within tight time constraints.
Ability to think strategically as well as to act tactically.
Ability to connect with people and work multi-culturally.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills and MS Office Suite and database skills.
Ability to travel extensively within and outside of the U.S.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedules or business needs.

As part of Gilead's efforts to expand HIV prevention, the AssociateDirector, HCP Marketing - Market Expansion will help execute a newly designed strategy to engage non-traditional and under-engaged health care professionals (HCPs) in HIV prevention. You will assist in translating insights into actionable tactics, support campaign development and collaborate cross-functionally to expand PrEP prescribing among new HCPs who do not currently write HIV prevention.
This is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented marketer with experience in HCP engagement and resource development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and motivated to contribute to a mission-driven market expansion effort.
This position is ONSITE at our Foster City, CA campus (Tuesday - Thursday). Full time remote is not available.
Key Responsibilities:
Support development of branded and unbranded materials tailored for HCPs who do not currently prescribe HIV prevention.
Assist in gathering and synthesizing market and behavioral insights to inform the development of marketing tactics and campaign materials.
Lead project management activities to keep activities on track, monitor metrics, ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
Contribute digital marketing expertise to campaigns across web, email, social and other digital channels.
Manage agency workflows, timelines, and quality assurance.
Serve as a liaison to field teams for resource feedback and pull-through support.
Coordinate with Sales, Training, Medical, Legal, and Access teams to ensure aligned cross-functional execution.
Navigate the MLR review process.
Develop and refine messaging and content tailored for diverse treatment settings, including but not limited to Urgent Care, primary care, OB/GYN, emergency rooms, effectively supporting HCPs' awareness and initiation of Prep.
Drive the implementation and ongoing optimization of strategies tailored to priority regional markets, ensuring measurable impact.

Job Description
As an AssociateDirector, Data Science, you will proactively bring innovative data‑science techniques and insights to business to drive and support strategic business decisions. You will stand up the capability of integrated HCP, patient journey and predictive sciences at scale for the commercial market. The person will work closely with integrated insights, commercial ops, patient engagement and omni‑channel analytics leads. Hands‑on functional expertise, highly collaborative mindset and leadership skillsets are required.
This role will report to Sr. Director,Marketing Sciences and is office‑based/hybrid located in either Foster City, CA or Parsippany, NJ.
Responsibilities
Be a partner in driving the industrialization of predictive sciences to help understand the patient journey and trigger robustly for markets.
Understand Gilead's commercial business objectives, develop and deploy scalable data‑science products and insights to influence decisions in marketing, sales, medical and other functions.
Lead data‑science projects end to end: convert unstructured business questions into data‑science solutions, give guidance to offshore teams, be a hands‑on leader who knows how to code and debug, and communicate with stakeholders.
Foster a culture of measurement and impact and incorporate feedback to continuously improve data‑science models.
Bring thought leadership and thorough understanding of statistics, primarily predictive algorithms & methodologies, to construct robust propensity models for impactful commercial use.
Create data‑science products that can be refreshed, reproduced and replicated.
Work with other Data Scientists and Analysts to define retraining schedule and measure propensity models for impact.
Partner with global teams to cross‑pollinate ideas and replicate successful models from other countries and vice versa.

Job Description
The Senior Director, Digital Strategy & Governance is a key enterprise leader responsible for shaping and executing the company's global digital storytelling strategy across all owned and paid channels, both external and internal. This role sets the vision for how Gilead shows up in digital spaces, including guiding content strategy, platform activation, and innovative storytelling that brings the corporate narrative to life in a human-centered, brand-aligned, and audience-driven way. Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of Gilead's digital storytelling strategy across external (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Meta, X, emerging platforms) and internal (intranet, employee platforms) channels.
Define and evolve a digital content vision that aligns to the corporate narrative and business goals, optimized for platform, audience, and tone.

We are seeking a **Director, Regional Commercial Excellence - Marketing and L&D** with responsibility for the Kite International region. This key role will involve supporting country brand leads to drive effective development, implementation and delivery of Global brand strategy and marketing tactics across the region. The role will also collaborate extensively across functions within this region to ensure effective development, implementation, delivery and monitoring of Cell Therapy training programs in line with country-specific needs. The position reports to the General Manager International and is based **on site in Santa Monica - CA.*** Work closely with Global brand leads, and country marketing leads to support the development and implementation of brand specific strategies and tactics at the regional and local level* Identify and develop regional tactics and support initiatives to drive launch success and Kite CAR-T brand performance in the international region.* Drive consistency of Brand messaging across the international region, ensuring alignment with Global strategy* Drive excellence in commercial efforts, ensure performance tracking / monitoring and plan follow up actions as necessary* Ensure learnings and best practices from regional launches shared and implemented by affiliates* Manage agency relationships for adaptation of promotional deliverables* Ensure marketing activities are in compliance with international regulatory and legal requirements* Design, develop, and facilitate any local implementation and roll-out of Cell Therapy training programs for both office-based and field-facing Commercial roles in the international region* Partner with country-level functional leadership teams to align tactics to local business needs and competency requirements* Identify specific training needs and ensure the development of high-quality new and ongoing training interventions* Utilize high level scientific acumen to translate complex scientific concepts into impactful messages to support local customer engagement strategy implementation* Align closely with Cell Therapy brand leads (and their brand/customer strategies) in the development and implementation of brand-specific training programs* Closely align with Medical Leads to support market readiness and efforts concerning Kite product differentiation* Assist local teams to execute training implementation by supporting planning, logistics management, vendor monitoring and local roll-out of training* Proactive approach to lead the support for local teams in the development of commercial competencies by ensuring that delivery and content is aligned with the business strategy* Continually assess current training offers from providers to identify areas for ongoing improvement and opportunities requiring the development of additional, country-specific training content* Develop L&D curricula to enhance functional skills and competencies for customer-facing roles* Collaborate with CL&D colleagues across the organization to ensure consistency and identify opportunities to leverage existing marketing and L&D resources* Liaise with Gilead CL&D teams to leverage Gilead training resources and apply them to Kite* Foster mentoring relationships with other functional colleagues from more mature markets to support best practice sharing* Coordinate training development with Kite US and ACE CL&D teams to ensure alignment and maintain consistent standards and metrics* Maintain subject matter expertise for disease states, products and therapeutic areas aligned with Kite's portfolio and account management strategy* Manage the training budget (OPEX) and project timelines* Manage agency relationships to develop training deliverables and rollouts, when needed* Ensure all training activities and materials are compliant with legal, regulatory and company policy requirements* Build essential relationships with key stakeholders including business unit directors, medical affairs, regulatory, and legal affairs.* Direct experience in hematology / oncology (cell therapy experience a plus)* Ability to rapidly develop a strong understanding of hematology / oncology clinical landscape and the business of cell therapy* Strong leadership skills and comfort in a rapidly changing environment* Demonstrated track record of successful product launches in marketing and training spaces* Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams with excellent interpersonal skills to lead, interact with and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines* Demonstrated experience working in a matrix cross functional environment, but also be able to work independently and with minimal supervision* Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectiveness in managing multiple projects/priorities* Ability to work with external agencies and vendors to develop programs and materials* Ability to engage with & achieve results while motivating affiliate brand team marketers* Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills* Experience working at both a global and/or affiliate/regional marketing level* Flexibility for up to 25-30% International travel Everyone at Kite is grounded by one common goal - curing cancer.
