General
Flight Nurses should be knowledgeable, participate, and promote Acadian/AirMed mission, vision, and goals.
Conducts him/herself as a leader, a role model, and a clinical resource.
Participates in meetings with the Air Med Management group to include disaster drills, staff meetings, and community/hospital meetings.
Identifies areas of concern and communicates with Flight Line Supervisors, Associate Quality Improvement Supervisors, Operations Manager/Supervisor, Chief Flight Nurse, and Quality Improvement Supervisor as necessary.
Promotes company health and wellness programs and initiatives.
Assists and works with Associate Quality Improvement Supervisors and Flight Line Supervisors as needed.
Special project as assigned.
Safety
Communicates with Operations Manager/Supervisor and Lead Pilot to assure timely identification of safety issues, reporting, and resolution.
Promote and uphold safety standards for self, flight line staff, and patients to include HSE standards.
Reports fatigue issues as needed and consults with AMOC/Air Med management.
Performance and Education
Conduct a careful examination of the patient for signs and symptoms of illness/injury and assist other medical personnel as necessary.
Administer prompt and efficient basic, intermediate, or advanced life support care within the limits of licensure or certification and in accordance with approved protocols prior to and during transport.
Provide careful handling of the patient to and from the air ambulance.
Provide safe and efficient transport of the patient in the air ambulance to the medical facility.
Provide a safe and efficient transfer of patient and patient care information to the receiving personnel at the destination.
Document all aspects of patient condition and treatment on ePCR run reports. Obtains and records non-medical patient information as required. Completes other patient documentation and forms as required.
In the absence of other qualified personnel, responsible for the use of basic extrication tools and procedures to gain access to the patient if necessary.
In the absence of other qualified personnel, responsible for controlling the patient's surroundings in such a way as to minimize further danger and control the actions of bystanders.
Follows all FCC regulations when communicating via electronic communications equipment.
Completes assigned station and station grounds duties.
Complete all required company reports and logs and when necessary provides other ambulance and supervisory personnel with the information.
Possibility to be temporarily assigned to a ground ambulance by Flight Line Supervisor, Operations Manager/Supervisor as needed when the aircraft cannot fly.
Must meet and fulfill the qualifications, requirements functions, and responsibilities of the Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, Intermediate, and Paramedic job descriptions.
Equipment/ Supplies
Conduct regular aircraft inventory and equipment testing to ensure all equipment is present, clean, and in proper working order.
Upon completion of transport, responsible for all assigned duties which will place the aircraft and equipment back in service.
Responsible for full knowledge of the ambulance's and air ambulance's equipment and its proper use at all times.
Document and report all needed repairs to the proper maintenance departments (Metro Aviation Personnel for aircraft, Materials Management for medical equipment) as well as to Flight Fine Supervisors and Operations Manager/Supervisor.
Employment Expectations
PHTLS, PALS, and NRP are required within 12 months of hire.(We offer in house)
Advanced Credentials CFRN/CTRN within 18 months of hire.
Should the CAMTS standard change the advanced nursing requirement, Air Med reserves the right to change this requirement to maintain the CAMTS standard.
Required by CAMTS to work PRN in hospital while employed with Acadian Air Med
Once the credential is obtained, a copy must be on file in HR and on the employee when on duty.
Air Med employees must have the following current cards in their possession while on duty:
Company ID
Nursing License
BLS/CPR, ACLS Card (AHA guidelines)
Instructor cards will be accepted in lieu of provider cards
Applicable Driver's License
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
RegisteredNurse with Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent
Body Weight of 210 lbs or less in uniform
Must be able to report to the assigned Air Med station within 90 minutes drive time from residence
BLS, ACLS, and a valid driver's license is required
Candidates should have at least 3 years' full-time working experience in a high volume Emergency Room or ICU (preferred), must be recent experience such as within the last two years

The Care Coordinator provides clinical leadership to the neighborhoods ensuring the mission, vision, and values of the organization are supported through the clinical services of the neighborhood. The Care Coordinator participates in planning, organizing, directing and facilitating the clinical operations of the household to ensure regulatory compliance, nurture a person-centered and resident directed culture and promote individual and team learning in the household. The Care coordinator provides each resident with professional licensed nursing assessments and evaluations and coordinates their care with other nursing staff in the household.

*Pay Range: $38.92-$58.37
*It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees.
What you'll get to do in this role:
Coordinates and monitors the implementation of care for residents in assigned resident caseload and assists prn to meet other residents not on caseload in the absence of the other care coordinator.
Monitors resident goals and outcomes in the following areas of clinical accountability: Falls, safety, wound/skin management, infection prevention and control, psychotropic medication monitoring.
Assess residents for changes of condition in accordance with facility policy and procedure.
Communicates with residents, representatives, and staff with changes in plan of care. Including leading care conferences routinely. Follow-up with any concerns brought forward.
Completes physician rounds per rounds schedule including processing physician orders timely.
Involved in committees per DON request.
Promoting the residents' well-being and satisfaction by supporting resident-centered care, participating in the interdisciplinary team as it establishes and implements the residents' plan of care with the resident/resident representative.
Participates in a quality work team by promoting teamwork to provide resident-centered care, participating in team problem solving methods and team/individual successes. Including participating in supportive orientation and training of new staff.
Maintaining a safe, comfortable and functional environment by assessing the household for potential hazards, utilizes appropriate techniques regarding sanitation, infection control, hazardous waste management, fire safety, disaster preparedness and emergency care.
Maintaining a “home” in the physical environment, maintaining a sense of welcoming through enhancing relationships in the household through shared activities of living, promoting compassionate services among the team by offering emotional, psychological and spiritual support to all, addressing the successes and needs of the households.
Dementia Sensitivity: able to demonstrate and nurture care practices for persons with dementia that meet needs while promoting individualized person-center care and sense of well-being.
You're an excellent fit, if you have:
graduate of an accredited school of nursing
met regulatory requirements for licensure as an RN in the state of MN
BLS certification
MDS certification preferred
excellent interpersonal relationship skills and be committed to providing person centered care
excellent collaboration & communication skills
good leadership and organizational skills
knowledge of federal and state regulations governing clinical care, nursing practice, and leadership

The Primary Care Role is responsible for delivering care to patients by assisting/ performing procedures, managing in baskets, following clinic protocols, administer medications and treatments and assess patients during appointments, along with triaging as needed.
