About the Team
ACCEL Schools is seeking a highly qualified Special Education Coordinator who are dedicated to providing a superior education experience for all students ! We are seeking team members who are excited to be a part of the team creating a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development. ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods.
Please note - while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events.
In collaboration with the Special Education Director, Head of School, the Principals, and fellow Special Education Coordinators, the Special Education Coordinator supports the Intervention Specialists for the assigned grade band through roster management, compliance monitoring (document quality, timelines, data collection), provision of Professional Development and training, and observation/feedback. In addition, the Special Education Coordinator supports the creation of appropriate programming for transfer students by collaborating with the enrollment team and prior school to obtain documents and understand student needs. Assists in implementation of Extended School Year program and gathering student data required for state reporting. Makes and implements student centered decisions in accordance with all state laws and regulations. This is a virtual position, but in-office work will be required throughout the year.

About the Opportunity
Attend relevant trainings offered by county agencies and the department of education to stay current on regulations and best practices
Develop and facilitate professional development and training on varied Special Education topics
Coordinate with enrollment team to understand volume and needs of newly enrolling Special Education students, gather existing documentation, and assign students to IS caseloads
Review all Special Education documents, including IEPs, for compliance and quality and provide feedback and coaching to Intervention Specialists prior to IEP meeting
Act as district representative at IEP meetings
Assist Intervention Specialists with complex parent communications as needed
Monitor Intervention Specialist compliance with timelines and data collection
Observe Intervention Specialists during instructional time with students and provide feedback
Conduct teacher evaluations under the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0 Certified)
Participate in in the Alternate Assessment decision making process to ensure a student is most appropriately assessed with an alternate assessment.
Serve as a point of contact and manage supplemental program access.
Partners with grade band Principal and Asst. Principal to ensure communication and consistency in general education and special education programming
Collaborate with EMIS Coordinator/State Reporting Manager to gather/enter all needed data into state and federal systems
Participates in trainings and meetings (occasional travel required

About You
Master's Degree or in process of obtaining
Administrative Specialist License as required by O.A.C. 3301-51-09
Minimum 3 years of experience providing special education services in an online model
Current Ohio Special Education Teacher or Administrator Certification
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality.

The Principal serves as the instructional and administrative leader of the campus - responsible for the development, implementation and achievement of the school's academic vision, student advancement and daily operations. The Principal shall be responsible for:
Instructional Leadership

Organizational Leadership
Manage the school's daily operations, including: facilities management; information/instructional technologies; food services; student data management systems; academic assessment tools; office management; budget and fiscal controls; and, student recruitment and retention.
With support from the Home Office/Operations Team, exercise full engagement on compliance, budget, procurement, student data, academic assessments, and campus safety. Cooperate with the back-office service provider where necessary to meet all school administrative activities. Make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
Partner with Human Resources to execute a highly effective talent management system of recruiting, selecting, hiring, retaining, recognizing, and supporting all school site staff.
Ensure non-discrimination practices in the selection process of faculty and staff by adhering to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements.
Collaborate with Home Office/Operations Team on the review and reporting requirements of the State, charter authorizing agency and Federal regulatory agencies, school sponsor, including the charter renewal process.
With support from the operations team, oversee maintenance of school census data, attendance data, and other reporting requirements as mandated by the state or school sponsor.
With support from the operations team, implement the national school lunch program, transportation, audits, student application distribution, collection, approval, and verifications as applicable.
Complete all accountability reports and oversee all student enrollment reports to the state; ensure compliance in all areas.
Manage student recruitment and retention and achieve goals of retaining 85% of students annually.
Understand and address all compliance items as they relate to the school's Sponsor Agreement.
Maintain a master school calendar to be posted for all stakeholders in all appropriate mediums (i.e. website, social media, student/parent guide, employee handbook). Work with the Home Office staff to ensure all marketing and communications tools are up-to-date and active.
Engage in regular communications with the Home Office/Operations Team about the needs, successes and general operation of the school.
Maintain open and ongoing daily and/or weekly meetings with the Regional Vice President
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students and colleagues.
Assist with updating parent and student manuals, policies, and handbooks.
Community Leadership
Acting as the Charter School's point person to the local community, effectively communicating the school's mission and vision and soliciting input from parents and families about school performance, areas for improvement, and their needs.
Understand, accept, abide by, and implement the school's philosophy and mission statement in all school activities.
Contribute to a positive climate and culture by exhibiting high professional standards.
Engaging and building strong professional relationships with parents, characterized by timely and regular communications, involving parents, wherever possible in the life of the school.
Cultivating partnerships with external organizations that enrich the culture of the school as well as strong working relationships with other local districts and charter authorizers.
Plan and conduct student and family orientations.
Coordinate special projects, such as peer mentoring, service learning and community involvement.
Conduct home visits as needed.

**Principal accountabilities:**

Responsibilities of the Building Cleaner include:
Ensures cleanliness of restrooms by emptying trash, mopping and disinfecting floors, cleaning and disinfecting sinks, cleaning and disinfecting mirrors, cleaning and disinfecting toilets, urinals, and pipes, replenishing soap, tissue, and paper towel supplies, periodically checks that restroom fixtures are in proper working order, cleans doors and partitions, spot cleans walls and ceiling, cleans baseboards, cleans radiators or vents, cleans light fixtures.
Ensures cleanliness of classrooms: vacuums carpeted areas, sweeps and wet and dry mops floors, empties trash, cleans sinks and faucets (if applicable), cleans windows and glass on doors, dusts ledges and other surfaces as applicable, cleans shades or blinds, cleans ceiling fans.

Assists with the cleaning of student illness related fluids, ensures proper clean-up and disinfection policies are followed. Follows appropriate and necessary procedures, utilizes personal protective equipment when handling any accidents.

Ensures custodial supply room is in order and organizes custodial inventory. Ensures supplies are on-hand, requests supply as-needed, may be responsible for receiving supplies at the building.
Removes minor debris from the grounds as-needed to ensure exterior appearance of the building is appropriate, picks up trash, etc. as-needed.
Ensures cleaning products are safely stored and used according to proper methods. Refers to Safety Data Sheets as needed.

PCA will serve grades 6-12 and offer career exploration and pathway programs that will ensure students are started on a path to success on their college and career goals. The Virtual IT CTE Teacher effectively educates high school students in conformity with the school philosophy and policies and rules of the governing bodies.

About You
Bachelor's degree in education or related field

A Typical Workday May Include
* Operating equipment and technology tools throughout the facility which may include mixers, batching, mills, grinders, packing, weighing, palletizers, etc.
* Collecting product samples and supervising tank levels, utilizing computer systems to input and record data as necessary
* Manufacturing products to ensure that they meet specifications
* Interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
* Operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, etc.
* Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
* Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
* Other duties as assigned
What You Will Need:
* Eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship
* Be 18 years or older
* Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 55lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
* Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Basic computer skills

About the Opportunity:
The Intervention Specialist supports the educational and behavioral goals of all students with a focus on students with an Individualized Education Program.
Responsibilities of the Intervention Specialist include to-
Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students, assisting in classroom intervention strategies, modifying general education curricular as necessary, and assisting the student with regular class assignments.
Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction
Conduct functional behavior assessments
Write and implement behavior improvement plans
Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals and objectives
Relentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture as well as state specific achievement goals.
Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
Serve as advisor for a designated set of students
Communicate regularly with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips
Perform other duties as assigned
About You:
Current state license
Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
Experience working in a full room inclusion type model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model
High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
High quality written and verbal communication skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI)
Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
