Purpose Statement
The QA Technician's purpose is to assure food safety through HACCP compliance monitoring, implementing corrective actions and reporting of deviations to the QA Manager.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
* Document test results and communicate out of spec results with QA and Production leadership.
* Collect capability study data (data collection) for new and existing product codes.
* Perform QA tasks including product sampling, line monitoring, auditing, and calibrations to ensure compliance to specifications.
* Place ingredients and finished goods on hold, as directed by the QA Leadership.
* Investigate the root cause of defects in raw and finished products and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain and promote a quality culture through driving GMP compliance.
* Maintain a well-organized and clean work area.
* Use Patrol Suite and SAP for data entry.
* Submit written reports for foreign material findings, holds, and other incidents.
* Comply with all safety procedures while working in a manufacturing environment including LOTO.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Related work experience.
* Experience in QA Testing: Viscosity, pH, allergen test kits and swabs, ATP swabs, environmental monitoring swabs. Not required but preferred.
* One year experience in commercial food processing preferred.
* PC skills include strong knowledge of Windows operating system, and applications to include Microsoft Word and Excel, and knowledge of iPads preferred.
* Knowledge of SAP systems preferred.
* Ability to constructively deal with change and pressure. Willing to continue training/education as necessary.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to use a full range of motion in both arms, hands, and legs.
* Ability to use senses to evaluate product for sensory testing.
* Ability to operate normal laboratory equipment.
* Attention to detail is required.

Responsible for operating machine(s) start up and shutdowns, performing machine adjustments, and maintaining all equipment to meet Safety and Quality requirements.

Proven experience as a Process Technician preferred.
Train machine operators on the necessities of their current molding operation.
Possess proper purging methods for material changes.
Possess processing skills to achieve quality parts, optimized cycle times and scrap minimization.
Injection Molding processing experience on presses.
Experience with Paulson Training or RJG processing methods is desired.
Experience working with a variety of mold machines.
Experience working with a variety of robots for injection molding machines.
Experience working with a variety of different mold concepts (cold and hot runner systems, multi plate molds, hyd. cores, slides, valve gates, etc.).
Experience in processing different types of custom resins.
Experienced knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice within the Medical or Food Industry.

Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damage cleanup, set-up of specialty equipment, containment setup, debris removal, and demolition.
Assess and document damage, including moisture readings
Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.

1. Minimum of four (4) years' AME operator experience on both the EPU and Ground Maintenance Support systems, including trouble-shooting software anomalies.
2. Two (2) years of maintenance experience.
3. Completion of AME operator/maintainer course required.
4. Completion of computer repair course required.
5. Basic knowledge of aircraft logbook structure and maintenance requirements.

Summary of Position
The Quality Control Lab Technician is tasked with analyzing raw materials and production samples to verify adherence to established specifications. Responsibilities include conducting organoleptic (sensory) evaluations, performing analytical tests, and maintaining accurate documentation in support of consistent product quality and safety. Essential Job Duties

Maintain detailed and accurate QC records, test results, and batch release documentation.
Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and supplier documentation for compliance.

Assist with product investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions
Work closely with Production, R&D teams, co-manufacturers, and the Purchasing team to resolve quality issues.
Support customer requests (COAs, shelf-life extensions, etc.) and coordinate external lab testing as needed.
Manage laboratory instrument calibrations, repairs, and annual maintenance.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
Contribute to sample inventory management and proper disposal of expired materials.
Communicate with co-manufacturers regarding any deviations.

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile technician to maintain, service and repair our facility's mechanical, plumbing and electrical building systems in the Chicago area. This role is critical for ensuring reliable operations of HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, and control systems. The ideal candidate will be experienced across all three trades, safety-conscious, able to troubleshoot and execute repairs independently, and coordinate with contractors as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, pumps, fans, motors, belts, bearings).
Maintain plumbing systems: water supply, drainage, fixtures, piping, pumps, valves, backflow prevention, ensuring compliance with local plumbing codes.
Conduct electrical work: distribution panels, wiring, motor control centers, conduit, lighting, controls, troubleshoot electrical faults, ensure adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) and Illinois/local code.
Monitor facility systems, perform routine inspections, log/document maintenance activity, keep accurate records of work completed.
Respond to emergency breakdowns/service calls; availability for on-call and after-hours work as required.
Work with outside contractors, supervise/coordinate contractor work when needed, ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Ensure all work performed in compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, confined space, and other relevant safety regulations.
Recommend system upgrades, replacements or improvements; assist in budgeting for maintenance capital expenditures.
Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools and equipment; ensure organized storage and safe use.
Maintain a safe work environment, keep clean work areas, follow facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications / Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent (technical school or trade certificate preferred).
Minimum [e.g., 5-10] years of combined experience in mechanical, plumbing and electrical trades in a commercial/industrial facility environment.
Valid electrician/plumber/mechanical licenses or certifications preferred (or ability to obtain).
Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, motor control, lighting, conduit and wiring.
Solid plumbing expertise: piping systems, drainage, fixtures, pumps, valves, backflow.
Mechanical systems competency: HVAC equipment (chillers/boilers if present), pumps, motors, compressors, fans, belts, bearings.
Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic and repair skills; ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, drawings.
Strong safety mindset: knowledge of lockout/tagout, PPE, NFPA 70E, OSHA, confined space, etc.
Good communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a maintenance team.
Ability to lift [50 lbs], climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, work in elevated locations, varying environmental conditions (hot/cold).
Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends and be on-call when required.
Rotates between restaurants located in River North, Wrigley and West Loop
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
Experience in restaurants and kitchen repairs and operations.
Project management experience: planning upgrades, managing contractors, scheduling work.
Knowledge of energy efficiency best practices and preventive maintenance scheduling.
Familiarity with Chicago and Illinois mechanical/plumbing/electrical codes.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to be flexible with job demands and open minded when being asked to complete tasks
Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant
Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing 0-50 pounds
Work may involve climbing ladders, working at heights, exposure to mechanical/electrical hazards, hot/cold environments, urgent response to breakdowns.
The technician must maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, equipment reliability, and adhere to company policies.
Technicians must have their own transportation and tools.
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day
Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
Compensation & Benefits
Non-exempt hourly approx. US $35-$40/hour, plus overtime when applicable
