About this Role: The Production Supervisor oversees and is accountable for the safe, efficient, and timely execution of daily production demands at our Cicero manufacturing plant. This hands-on role is expected to lead, mentor, and guide a team of hourly operators and leads across all Production functions. This means actively engaging, leading, and growing a front line workforce each day.
While they are considered the process and product experts in their area, they also serve as Manager On Duty from time to time and will also be expected to learn the supervisory accountabilities of related functions within the manufacturing plant.
The scheduled shift will be Wednesday - Saturday, 8 am to 6 pm
What You'll Do:
Lead, manage and engage the production team, including the front-line team
Plans and allocates resources (people, equipment, tools) for production execution
Acts as a cross-functional partner and leader
Continuously improves processes and practices within the Production team
Who You Are…
3-5 years of industry experience, including 2 years at a supervisor level
Basic Google/Microsoft Suite Skills (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations) and ERP/WMS skills
Knowledge of food safety and GMP standards is preferred
Effective communicator-the ability to translate company goals into simple directives for front-line employees and connect front-line barriers to targets and effectively escalate to management
Spanish competency preferred
The base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000. The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for company performance-based bonuses and equity.

Written and verbal communication skills needed to direct staff and present management in company meetings. Must be able to communicate ideas and goals to all plant employees.
Education and/or Experience:
BS degree in Dairy Science, Food Science or related field preferred

Seeking a highly motivated individual who can supervise hourly employees in a fast paced assembly line production environment.
Must be able to maintain a high level of productivity while observing all safety rules and operations protocols

Ensures efficient utilization of equipment and facilities.
Monitors production quality to ensure product specifications are met.
Maintains daily production records.
Coordinates training of hourly production employees on job functions and the operation of various machines.
Maintains cleanliness of the work areas, ensures proper handling of tools and equipment, and correct operation of machinery to provide a safe working environment.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

About this Role:
The Pick Pack Supervisor oversees and is accountable for the safe, efficient, and timely execution of daily pick pack functions at our Chicago manufacturing plant. This hands-on role is expected to lead, mentor, and guide a team of hourly pick pack associates and temporary workers. You'll actively engage with, lead, and grow a front-line workforce each day. This role reports directly to the Fulfillment Manager.
What You'll Do:
Review daily demands and develop strategy for the team to execute
Lead team by delegating bay assignments, daily tasks, coaching and training team members
Review and print pick tickets through CMS, then organize and distribute ticket assignments
Monitor the operations of pick pack, assist in identifying inefficiencies and share solutions to optimize
Work directly with Chicago/Milwaukee Distribution team
Manages day to day employee relations with support from HR department
Ensures all GMPs are followed and adhere to Quality, Food Safety requirements
Assist Pick Pack team with their day to day tasks and function; including loading of trucks for line hauls
Monitor and analyze applicable metrics and report to Fulfillment Manager
What are we looking for in a Pick Pack Supervisor?
Mid-level industry experience, including 2 years at a supervisor level

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to move raw ingredients, packaging materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods throughout Urban Farmer's production, warehouse, cooler, and freezer environments.
Support continuous manufacturing operations by staging, delivering, and removing materials in alignment with daily production schedules, ensuring lines remain supplied and operational without interruption.
Load and unload inbound ingredients, packaging, and outbound finished goods while verifying product identity, quantities, lot codes, expiration dates, and documentation to maintain full traceability and compliance.
Handle food products and materials in accordance with Urban Farmer's food safety, GMP, SQF, HACCP, and FSMA standards, ensuring all materials remain protected from damage, contamination, or temperature abuse.
Transport temperature-sensitive products promptly to designated refrigerated or frozen storage areas to maintain cold-chain integrity and product quality.
Inspect pallets, packaging, labels, and stretch-wrap prior to movement to ensure accuracy, stability, and compliance with quality and shipping requirements.

About the Role:
As a team member of the Sanitation Team, you will be responsible for washing and sanitizing tools, Lexan tubs, bus tubs and other items in the Dishwashing Room using a large commercial dishwashing machine and other methods. Keeping our utensils clean is a crucial part of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Responsibilities as a Dishwasher:
Washing dishes and equipment in the Dishwashing Room to meet Farmer's Fridge standards of cleanliness.
Change the dishwasher water, detergent, and sanitizer to keep the machine running clean, and complete the Dishwasher Water Change Checklist in real-time.
Clean the tool storage boxes, dish shelves, and stages (weekly) and keep the dish room tidy.
Communicate with the QFS Team on equipment that must be swabbed to return to Production.
Keep the floor and floor drains in the Production rooms and other rooms clean and free of debris
Dump trash and compost bins to ensure they remain useable for Production Take
Necessary knowledge, skills, and experience:
Able to stand and work for long periods of time (8+ hour shifts) in a cold environment (around 40 degrees) and in a hot environment.
Must be able and willing to work in refrigerated coolers (~38⁰F)
Able to lift 25-50 lbs.

Essential Qualifications
Previous food and beverage supervisory or management experience.
Minimum of 2 years management/supervisory experience.
Previous experience in an upscale dining environment preferred.
Ability to work a variety of varying schedules.
Extensive beverage and wine knowledge.
Must obtain and maintain a food handler certification upon hire.
Essential Duties
Establish and maintain effective internal controls within the department.
Oversee and assist in the training and development of restaurant staff.
Ensure work areas are properly stocked and prepare requisitions as needed.
Ensure work areas are neat and clean.
Check that trays and tables are set to standards.
Ensure quality control of all menus with regards to cleanliness and appearance.
Assist in the outlets when necessary.

Ensure communication with oncoming shift.
Handling guest complaints or special requests, communicate to management when necessary.

Check staffing levels and adjust according to business demand.
