General Job Description: As the QA/QC Supervisor you will lead the QA/QC Project Team, setting clear expectations and actively coaching and developing direct reports. Ensure that the First-in Inspection process effectively reduces risk and minimizes cost due to fabrication and installation errors, promote resolution of Quality issues with Project Team, and monitor all quality issues to ensure systematic problems are addressed. Actively audit the execution of the Project Specific Quality Control Plan to ensure that all required commitments are adhered to and meet the Standard Operating Procedures of the Company. Proactively work with the Project Management Team to support the success of the project and provide an avenue for input into quality requirement changes.
Supervises: Quality Control Inspectors
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
* Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
* Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
* Engage with the General Contractor's Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning, project compliance, non-conformance management, quality audits.
* Provide project quality expectations to new inspectors.
* Attend weekly project update meetings with the project group including upcoming activities, status and deadlines.
* Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
* Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
* Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
* Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
* Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
* Other duties may be assigned by the management team.
* Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
* Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
* Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
