* Manage daily operations and coordination of subcontractor activity.

The team provides technology assessments of operational, engineering, and cybersecurity readiness as the last stop for hardware, software, and Integrated Combat Systems testing prior to delivery to the Fleet. This is fully funded follow-on contract that started on January 8th of 2023 lasting until January 7th of 2028 and this incumbent team has been delivering exceptional services for many years. .
WHO and WHERE?SCSC is a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Echelon III U.S. Navy Field Activity with 92 military, 84 government civil service, and 267 contractors executing high-fidelity shipboard representative integrated warfare capabilities in a maritime environment, consisting of the AEGIS Engineering & Training Complex, the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) facility, the Wallops Island Engineering Test Center, and the Wallops Island Radar Test Site as tenants on the NASA Wallops Flight Facility.
Future SCSC capabilities include High Energy Laser with Integrated Optical-Dazzler and Surveillance Weapon System (HELIOS), next-generation radars, the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP), and a cooperative with NASA developing Unmanned Arial Vehicles and supporting Large Space Vehicle launches as SCSC continues to evolve toward becoming the preferred asset for technology and systems integration, test and verification of combat systems across the five battlespace domains of space, surface, air, undersea, and cyberspace / electronic warfare. SSDS Maintenance Technicians with an interest in expanding their systems expertise are afforded opportunities to work on these and other capabilities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience assessing, troubleshooting, and performing corrective and preventive maintenance on SSDS systems and equipment, with allowance for education to substitute for experience (see education and training section below).
