    Collector II-Remote Purpose: The Remote Collector is responsible for managing delinquent loan and share accounts to minimize losses while maintaining a positive member experience. This role involves contacting members by phone, email, and other digital channels to resolve past-due accounts, arrange repayment plans, and educate members on available financial solutions. The Remote Collector ensures all collection activity is conducted in accordance with credit union policies, federal and state regulations, and member service standards. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor and manage assigned delinquent loan and share accounts, typically ranging from early to mid-stage delinquency. Make daily outbound calls and send electronic communications to members regarding past-due accounts. Work collaboratively with members to establish realistic repayment arrangements or loan workout options. Maintain accurate documentation of all collection efforts and member communications in the core system. Skip-trace and research member contact information as necessary to locate and engage with members. Identify potential problem loans and recommend appropriate next steps to minimize risk or loss. Follow all regulatory requirements, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and credit union policies. Provide exceptional member service by treating all members with respect, empathy, and professionalism. Collaborate with internal departments (Lending, Member Services, Accounting, etc.) to resolve account discrepancies. Prepare reports or updates for management as needed. Perform any other duties as assigned. Schedule and Work Expectations: Must reside within 35 miles of Fayetteville, NC. Two (2) weeks in person at the assigned office location for initial training (additional time may be required based on performance). Required to attend in-office training and refresher training. Must have reliable high-speed internet, a secure, quiet workspace, and the ability to work independently. Standard business hours can include nights, weekends, or rotating shifts, depending on the credit union's needs. Regular monitoring, quality assurance, and performance feedback Other Duties and Responsibilities: Assists VP Finance & Collections in preparing reports when necessary. Archive letters, files and other documentation of work in order to preserve record of such files. Must comply with the Federal Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering & Customer Identification Policy (BSA), the OFAC Policy and the Identity Theft Policy. Physical Demands: The need for physical stamina is low to moderate. Working Conditions: Minimal adverse working conditions. Some fluctuations in temperature experienced in office setting. May require flexible hours to reach members in different time zones.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collections & Account Management: • Monitor assigned customer accounts for open balances and aging status. • Initiate and document collections outreach via phone and email, adhering to a defined cadence for follow-up. • Escalate accounts approaching exceeded aging to senior staff and local leadership. • Ensure that no account reaches or remains within the company's standard aging bucket without proper documentation and approval. Lien & Legal Process: • Initiate and track the lien filing process via lien software to protect the company's rights. • Prepare and issue conditional and unconditional lien waivers, ensuring a high accuracy. • Maintain proper records of waivers, releases, and lien filings for audit readiness. Communication & Collaboration: • Serve as the direct contact for customer inquiries and follow up on tickets to ensure a timely resolution. • Coordinate with billing and service departments to resolve disputed invoices or misapplied payments. • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with local and central teams to review portfolio aging trends and high-risk accounts. • Liaise with the legal team on enforcement and escalation of collections cases. Compliance & Reporting: • Ensure all customer interactions and follow-ups are meticulously documented in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. • Provide daily status updates and share exceptions with the working capital team. • Assist with month-end close by ensuring all lien statuses and waiver issuance are up to date. • Maintain local records in alignment with SOX requirements.     Job Description The Dawes Arboretum is actively recruiting a Collections Establishment Specialist to join our Science & Research team. Reporting to the Curator of Living Collections, the Collections Establishment Specialist cares for and maintains Arboretum plant collection areas. As such, this role supports communication and planning across departments to ensure coordination of early growth establishment and success, in addition to the aesthetic care and display of assigned plant collections. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Some of the specific responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: · Oversee the early care, record-keeping and maintenance of newly planted plant material (1-4 years) and assigned plant collection areas, while providing professional insight to and implementation of the Plant Collections Policy. · Support planting, watering, weeding and mulching of newly planted and mature plant collections. · Work closely and collaboratively with Science & Research team members. Coordinate with the Landscape & Conservation team to ensure the sharing of knowledge, plans, logistics, procedures and communication. · Perform landscape care of specific plant collections and collaborate cross-departmentally on plant maintenance tasks such as developmental and rejuvenation pruning. · Operate a variety of landscape equipment including but not limited to chainsaws, chippers, mowers, pruners, etc. · Perform Integrated Pest Management (IPM) including the application of herbicides. · As needed, assist with invasive plant removal and participate in land management activities such as prescribed burns. · Assist cross-departmentally in the preparation, set up, tear down and coordination of plant sales and/or other organization-wide activities/events.
