The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for owning and managing the full Accounts Payable (AP) cycle and ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing of all payables activities. This role requires a high level of professional judgment, analytical problem-solving, and process optimization, and will serve as a key partner to internal teams and external vendors. This position will independently evaluate invoice discrepancies, analyze and reconcile vendor accounts, recommend and implement process improvements, and uphold strong internal controls. What You'll Focus On: 1. Invoice Processing & AP Operations (30%) Process vendor invoices daily in Ramp, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate coding. Review, investigate, and resolve invoice discrepancies independently. 2. Vendor Management & Onboarding (15%) Manage vendor onboarding and maintain vendor master data, including W-9/W-8 forms and contracts. Compliance & Year-End Reporting (10%) Prepare and submit year-end 1099 reporting in compliance with IRS deadlines and requirements. Maintain documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance. 6. Internal Audit, Analysis, and Process Improvements (10%) Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis, and explanations. Identify operational gaps and recommend process enhancements to increase efficiency and control. Collaborate with finance leadership to establish scalable AP best practices. 7. Cross-Functional Support & Issue Resolution (5%) Respond to internal inquiries related to invoice submissions, payments, and expenses. Provide financial data and analytical support to business leaders as needed. What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 4+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience in a high volume environment. Multi-entity preferred but not required.
