What You'll Do

Communicate regularly with employees regarding payroll
Communicate with department heads regarding errors in timesheets
Monitor status of web timesheets and assist employees in learning to use the web time entry system
Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and preparation of W-2s.
Support compliance with labor laws, IRS regulations, and institutional policies.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field; bachelor's preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or payroll.
Demonstrated experience with Banner (Ellucian) and Emburse/Chrome River.
Knowledge of payroll laws, IRS regulations, and AP best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Position Overview
Under direction of the Accountant Supervisor, independently performs technical accounting work in the Department of Human Rights; maintans a complex, complete set of general electronic account books. Maintains agency Tape Balancing Report, numeric vouchers for SAP, and extensive working knowledge of travel expenditure policies. Maintains fiscal records with the yearly submittal of records to the records retention center. Maintains extensive working knowledge of SAM's Accounting and Financial Reporting Policies and Procedures especially expenditure codes.
Prepares monthly reconciliation of accounts and issues monthly state and federal financial statements prepare budgetary projections
As a member of the fiscal team organizes and submits accounting data records and documentation to state internal auditors and bi-annual compliance auditors. As a member of the team help revise and improve the agencies accounting processes and internal control.

Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and one year of technical accounting experience or four years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.

About this role:
We're looking for a motivated, energetic Junior Account Executive to help grow our market presence by generating pipeline and supporting the sales cycle for new business partnerships.
This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and securing new conversations-while learning from and collaborating closely with senior AEs to advance deals.
You'll prospect, qualify, and run intro meetings before transitioning opportunities to senior AEs to drive to close. You'll build relationships with target accounts and gain experience navigating complex organizations across food service, real estate, and large enterprise customers.
What You'll Do:
Prospect and qualify new leads via cold outreach, email, LinkedIn, and industry events
Research target accounts to identify the right stakeholders
Book and run introductory meetings; deliver a strong overview of the Farmer's Fridge value proposition
Collaborate with senior AEs to hand off qualified opportunities and support later-stage conversations as needed
Maintain clean and accurate pipeline activity in Salesforce (or similar CRM)
Work cross-functionally with Operations and Marketing to ensure a smooth handoff and strong customer experience
Consistently meet activity targets (outreach volume, booked meetings, qualified opportunities)
What We're Looking For:
1-3 years of B2B sales, SDR/BDR, or customer-facing experience (hospitality, food service, CRE, a plus)
A hunter mindset-self-starter who enjoys outreach, building pipeline, and creating new opportunities
Strong communication skills; comfortable leading first-touch conversations with decision-makers
Ability to learn quickly, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities
Coachable and motivated by growth; excited to develop into a senior sales role
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
Willingness to travel up to 40-50%

The base salary range for this role is $60,000 to $65,000 per year. The base pay offered will depend on factors such as relevant experience, skills, training, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for on-target earnings (OTE) which includes sales incentives.

Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable & Payroll Assistant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and payroll transactions following institutional policies and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities/Duties:
Accounts Payable:
* Review, process, and verify invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payment requests using Emburse/Chrome River.
* Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
* Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and banking information.
* Monitor outstanding liabilities and prepare weekly payment runs (check, ACH, or wire).
* Distribute checks
* Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable status and procedures.
* Assist with year-end 1099 reporting and IRS compliance.
Payroll:
* Process payrolls for faculty, staff, adjuncts, and student employees
* Initiate each payroll cycle
* Review timesheets and payroll authorizations for appropriate signatures and entries; enter them in the payroll system
* Complete the payroll cycle and prepare documents for direct deposit as well as any payments related to payroll, including payment of taxes, TSAs, and garnishments
* Communicate regularly with employees regarding payroll
* Communicate with department heads regarding errors in timesheets
* Monitor status of web timesheets and assist employees in learning to use the web time entry system
* Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and preparation of W-2s.
* Support compliance with labor laws, IRS regulations, and institutional policies.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Disbursements Manager, Controller or CFO
Required Qualifications:
* Associate's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field; bachelor's preferred.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or payroll.
* Demonstrated experience with Banner (Ellucian) and Emburse/Chrome River.
* Knowledge of payroll laws, IRS regulations, and AP best practices.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in a higher education setting.
* Familiarity with federal and state tax reporting requirements.
