What Does An Account Executive-Field Do At Hearst Communications Inc.

* 1. Achieve monthly revenue goals set for sales territory/account list based on previous years history and potential of the territory.
* Develop new business by identifying sales opportunities in the territory.
* Maintain and grow net active account base by making an average of 60 sales and prospecting calls per week.
* Improve existing client relationships and develop strong relationships with new customers that are mutually beneficial in the long term.
* Create marketing presentations using our products to include target audiences, demographics, readership, trends and research, that will illustrate the features and benefits most important to our customers and prospects.
* Maintain a high level of customer service and positive public relations by providing effective marketing solutions, responding to customer requests and concerns in a timely manner.
* Participate in team-based selling.
* Handle process issues from start to finish, including ad order entry, picking up ad copy from clients, ad layouts, ad payment.
* Quote prices and credit terms.
* Prepare sales contracts.
* Estimate date of delivery of services to customer based on knowledge of production schedules and capabilities.
* Attend sales and systems training, sales meetings.
* Monitor competition and business trends in sales territory.
