This role is responsible for managing the assigned accounting staff in the production of periodic financial reports, managing the creation of entries and allocations that create primary source accounting records, and reviewing of primary financial statement to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The accounting manager is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
