- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or related field.
- 5+ years experience working in accounting
- Experience in the utility industry and/or Governmental Accounting
- Experience with software implementations, long-term financial planning, and/or utility rate studies
- Experience in project management and navigating change mangement
- Proficient MS-Excel skills. Examples: advanced MS-Excel functions (i.e. data referencing (VLOOKUP, H-LOOKUP, SUMIFS), conditional statements (IF, MAX, MIN), pivot tables, graphs and charts.
- Knowledge of quantitative analysis, financial modeling, governmental accounting, local government financial management.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including the ability to interpret the analytical results.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
