What Does An Account Manager Supervisor Do At The Salvation Army of The Syracuse Area

* Participates in multi disciplinary task forces, committees and projects, demonstrating team spirit and ability to work with different internal staff and clientele.
* Ability to bring together different views and skills toward timely and effective completion of project objectives.
* Manages weekly care management meetings with Case Managers
* Participates in conferences, workshops, and other professional development activities to maintain licensure and / or remain professionally current with advances in fields of expertise.
* Provide in-service training, supervision, and maintenance of clinical standards of medical, mental health, and substance abuse issues.
* Recommendations and decision making which reflect strong analytical skills and focus on quality, cost containment, and impact of change on other departments.
* Attends monthly Care Managers administrative meetings
* Supervise all Intakes and Conduct all Assessments
* Complete your own accurate, up-to-date progress notes, activity log, and tracking forms on a daily basis.
* Ensure that your team CM’s provide a minimum of ONE billable, meaningful, core services per member per month
* Ensure that your team CM’s progress note for the required service is specific and adequately describes the service
* Regularly review client information from care team members to identify patients requiring outreach and engagement
* Provide expertise on servicing the most difficult and intense cases and provide input for individualized care plans
* Work closely with your team of CM’s to determine goals/objectives, activities and who will perform needed tasks related to all medical, substance abuse and mental health issues for clients
* Assist Case Managers on your team with the most difficult cases which require intense clinical care management
* Coordinate and facilitate meetings with the team under your supervision to address client care plan coordination
* Facilitate referrals to coordinate services with medical, mental health, substance abuse, and entitlement systems
* Provide crisis intervention around aggressive behavior suicide threat/ideation, domestic violence.
* Work with clients and their families who are experiencing domestic violence issues
* Work with families with court ordered child protection issues, custody conflicts
* Assist in resolving conflict between staff members, staff and clients, client and service providers
* Ensure coverage within your team and provide agency administrative coverage as needed and assigned
* Available for evening and weekend telephone coverage and for other social workers and admin staff as needed
* If fluent in a language other than English, may be asked to act as translator
