Account operation managers oversee the activities of a company related to customer accounts. They are responsible for building strong relations with key clients, tending to their every need, and making sure they are satisfied with the services the company has to offer.

You will be in charge of hiring and training accounts staff, as well as negotiating contracts and successfully closing profitable deals. You will be expected to find new clients and business opportunities and identify areas of accounts operations that need improvement. Your work will directly influence meeting sales quotas, and management will look to you for reports on the status of accounts.

You will need to be proficient in using customer management software and multitasking to excel in this role. A bachelor's degree in business administration or a similar field is a common requirement, but what you really can't do without is great communication and people skills.
