The role of an accountant and office manager involves the monitoring of the organization's financial record, payroll records for areas assigned and developing, analyzing, and interpreting statistical and accounting information. You are also assigned to record daily business and advise the management about accounting principles, practices, and procedures, the guidelines established by the company, and current laws. Your responsibilities include keeping detailed books, accounts, and records of the company, maintaining internal accounting controls, monitoring account receivables and solving payment problems, making recommendations about new accounting programs, and performing other duties as assigned by management.
A successful accountant and office manager must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related course, plus at least two years of professional accounting experience.
