Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records, create financial reports and perform analysis using QuickBooks®
  • Monitor and maintain inventory and fixed assets
  • Maintain tax, insurance, and financial and HR compliance requirements
  • Maintain vendors, resources, and subcontractors
  • Complete accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, to include collections
  • Perform technology setup, backups, protection, and tracking
  • Gather and coordinate hardware and software requirements

Position Requirements
  • 3+ year(s) of experience with QuickBooks Pro® (most recent versions) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2+ years of experience with bookkeeping and collection activities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including proper pronunciation and grammar, and a consistently courteous and professional tone of voice at all times
  • Polite, confident, and excellent customer service skills, including listening and questioning skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Very self-motivated and goal-oriented multi-tasker
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment
  • Ability to learn new software, including Xactimate® and proprietary software

Hours

Bodine Perry, a certified public accounting firm with nine office locations in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Florida, is committed to providing the highest quality accounting, auditing, tax, and business advisory services to our clients. Our firm employs more than 150 team members with a wide range of experience and skills, serving businesses in various industries. We’re looking to add a full-time Bookkeeper to our collaborative team in Orange Park, FL!

Some of the specific duties are as follows:

  • Process payroll for clients
  • Report monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll taxes
  • Report CAT Taxes quarterly and annually
  • Maintain general ledger, bank reconciliations, loan schedules, and assets
  • Pay bills and make and record deposits
  • Prepare 1120/1120S/1065/1040 tax returns
  • Make various tax payments for clients, as needed (BWC, ODJFS, Ohio Business Gateway, etc.) via EFTPS
  • Other duties as assigned.

Candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • QuickBooks and QBO Certified
  • Experience working with multiple clients at once
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft applications
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters Accounting Suite including: Ultra Tax, Fixed Assets CS, GoFileRoom, AdvanceFlow, FirmFlow, and Accounting CS is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates ability to take initiative and exercise time management skills
  • Possess good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Prior experience working in a Firm is highly desired
  • Ability to work overtime during tax season and other peak times throughout the year, as needed
  • High school diploma required; two-year degree in Accounting or an equivalent field desired but not required
