About the Role
As a Director of Technical Accounting Policies, you'll focus on documenting cutting‑edge, novel technical accounting issues. You'll research and analyze complex one‑time transactions, while also refreshing and documenting policies for standard processes. Examples of complex transactions may include non‑standard revenue contracts, stock‑based compensation, operating and finance leases, and acquisition of assets.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role, you will:
Review complex accounting transactions and document novel accounting conclusions.
Translate accounting conclusions into accurate month‑end journal entries and quarterly footnote disclosures.
Enhance current database of technical policy memos to improve completeness of documentation.
Maintain technical policy memos and update documentation on a quarterly basis.
Scope and implement the accounting implications of unique transactions, in partnership with the controllership and tax teams.

About the role
The Manager, Operations Accounting - India, is a vital leadership role responsible for the day-to-day execution, supervision, and efficiency of the global Accounts Payable (AP) and Employee Expense workforce.
This is a critical operational role where you will directly influence the quality, speed, and accuracy of our core finance processes. What you'll do: Execution, Support, and Quality Control
Workforce Management & Team Leadership: Provide direct supervision and mentorship to the India-based AP and Employee Expense teams, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the contracted workforce model.
Operational Supervision & SLA Maintenance: Oversee daily AP and expense processing, ensuring all service level agreements (SLAs) for invoice processing, payment runs, and employee reimbursements are consistently met or exceeded.
Issue Resolution and Vendor Support: Act as the primary management escalation point for complex transaction issues, payment inquiries, and vendor relationship support, leveraging local time zone advantages for rapid issue closure.

About the Role
The AccountingManager reports directly to the Controller and partners closely to build a high‑quality, audit‑ready accounting function from the ground up. While the Controller owns audit readiness, month‑end close, and direct coordination with external auditors, the AccountingManager plays a critical supporting role in preparing the company for its first external audit through process documentation and compilation of PBCs, including areas such as stock‑based compensation and leases. What You'll Do Monthly Close & Reporting
Partner with the Controller on the monthly close calendar and coordinate cross‑functional deliverables.

Ensure GL accuracy and completeness across revenue, equity, expenses, and assets.
Stock Compensation & Equity Administration

Support equity accounting and reporting requirements, including ASC 718, audits, and period‑end close.

Technical Accounting
