Oversee and support in-house AP staff, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
Ensure Yardi is utilized efficiently, accurately, and consistently by all AP personnel.

Confirm that all vendors are paid accurately and in a timely manner.

Communicate with general contractors and vendors to resolve escalated issues and ensure compliance with contractual terms and requirements.
Perform vendor account reconciliations and assist with issue resolution as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable experience.

Required experience with Yardi software.
Demonstrated experience managing both in-house and outsourced staff.

Manage the month-end and year-end close process
Review and balance of General Ledger monthly, quarterly and annually
Process journal entries - preparing and processing accrual and reversal entries

Maintain accurate 1099 records and oversee the year-end preparation and submission of 1096 form
Process monthly sales tax filings
Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules
Maintaining records through accurate filing of documents
Work closely with other internal departments and vendors as needed
Implement accounting software improvements and streamline financial workflows
Successful candidates will have the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and maintain Accounting best practices in addition to:
Experience with Zoho One (Books, CRM, Projects, Expense) is a plus, but a willingness to learn is just as valuable
QuickBooks knowledge is a must, as we will be migrating from QuickBooks to Zoho
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to optimize Zoho integrations and ensure smooth operation across departments
Ability to direct and coordinate all Accounting functions
Experience in accrual and cash basis of accounting
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
Maintain excellent time management and understanding of priorities
Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality and in a deadline-driven environment
Extremely organized and detail oriented
