Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for the accurate and timely recording and processing of payroll transactions. Also responsible for supporting monthly financial closing processes while maintaining the integrity of company accounting and payroll systems. Strong organizational and analytical skills are required with a thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles to assist in financial statement analyses.
+ Manage workflow to ensure that all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely (bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly for all assigned locations)
+ Research and resolve payroll inquiries from independent contractors relative to the processing of payroll information, making corresponding changes to the Oracle Payroll system as necessary.
+ Calculate monthly commissions for production staff.
+ Prepare ad hoc reports as required
+ Assist in the monthly reconciliation of independent contractor labor expenses and associated revenues. Verify accuracy and correct any errors before posting to the general ledger.
+ Assist in the monthly closing process including journal entry processing and monthly reconciliations
