This role requires hands-on experience with SAGE or Peachtree accounting software, and previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is essential. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable with financial reconciliations, and capable of managing month-end close processes. This is a 100% onsite position in Brookshire, TX, reporting directly to the Controller. Responsibilities Manage all AP and AR transactions, ensuring accuracy in entries and proper coding. Perform regular financial reconciliations and assist with month-end close, including accruals and reporting. Operate accounting software (SAGE or Peachtree) to record, store, and analyze financial data. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry and mathematical accuracy. Receive, record, and deposit cash, checks, and vouchers. Prepare and file required tax documentation, including 1099s and sales tax filings. Handle full payroll processing, including 940 and 941 filings and proper deductions/additions. Compile reports and tables related to cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable, and receivable. Reconcile discrepancies in financial records and report findings. Set up and maintain vendor and customer accounts. Work closely with Purchasing, Sales, and Production Departments, particularly on payroll and WIP-related tasks. Assist with and serve as a backup for light HR functions and coordinate with outsourced HR services. Support quarterly and annual accounting cycles as needed. Perform general administrative tasks and other duties as assigned. Required Skills Proficiency in AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and general accounting functions. Experience with ERP/accounting software, specifically SAGE or Peachtree. Solid understanding of Work in Progress (WIP) accounting in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
